I do not know if this has been pointed out yet, but my Volvo has a 'No Texture" engine block, along with other components.
As far as i know, there are already two v70 p2 mods, but one is a paid meshslap on modland and the other one is not accessible because the creator is banned on the Forums... So an actual good quality v70 p2 mod that is available and free would be very cool.
I own a built big turbo V70R, and kept all the original parts. I would be happy to send screenshots for reference as well as screenshots of all the performance parts so you know how they fit on the car (for realism).
It is definitely possible, but would require an extensive redo of the gearbox logic, much like Arcanox has done. Furthermore, implementing Arcanox is possible, but would force the car to use a CVT gearbox as the custom gearbox controller doesn't support anything else.
Other option would be asking @DaddelZeit to use his coding from the KLJP's hybrid Sunburst and, also do something like @fillman86 did on his LMP4 car to have a FWD hybrid. Won't be easy, but until we get dual input powertrain modules or an electric motor that accepts an input, hybrids won't be easy things to deal with in BeamNG
you can also have the electric motor drive a rotator, then have that rotator connected to another rotator that's connected by beams to the main engine's power train. I did a video on it a while ago, and it works well for lower speed cars. you can take the code right from my mod if you'd like - https://www.beamng.com/resources/automation-hybrid.25956/ though I believe you'll have to modify it a lot
Do you know of a way to connect a rotator directly to a engine (engine -> clutch -> gearbox -> rotator.) Im trying to make a propeller for a plane
in the powertrain, have a shaft connected to your transmission, and have that shaft have the appropriate "connectedwheel" (or how ever it's worded) modifiers on it
Actually it is really easy to make a hybrid. Making it function like a real hybrid and taking care of all the edgecases is what is the problem (Having the car drive on EV only, turning the engine back on from being turned off and engaging the transmission without the car spinning out or the transmission overreving the engine, changing directly from a certain gear to another, etc.). I made a hybrid in 10 minutes on the ETK 800, where the i6 powers the rears and the electric motor powers the front. The electric power output just reflects the gear of the gas engines transmission, and works fine. The only reason it currently isn't "possible" for the layman is only due to the gearboxcontroller. The car is set up to use either the EV controller or a regular transmission controller. What happens in the logic is that either the gearshifting logic changes the gears of the transmission or it changes the drive settings of the electric motor. It cannot do both at once, until someone makes a hybrid controller. If this controller is made properly it could then be used to power any hybrid car.
yeah, beamng doesn't like 2 gearboxes, but having 1 normal gearbox, and the other being a 1 speed works currently (whether they're hybrid or both combustion engines)
Hello guys I have some changes for this car. Spoiler: Permission Buffed up Stage 1 and 2 Performance blocks (makes around 100 more peak hp I think) Edited the drive modes so that it doesn't sound like a full on race car in different modes (Volume changes are still there though) Edited the torque curve of I5 so it can go up to 8500RPM Edited the differentials so that you finally can have different final drives (Just default 3.20:1 and Race adjustable final drive)
