Not exactly "famous" but the Impala came standard with the 4.3L Vortec V6 w/ EFI. Basically a 305 V8 with the 2 front cylinders cut off.
1982 Chevrolet Impala 6 1980 231 3.8 V6 Technical Specs, Fuel Consumption, Dimensions (ultimatespecs.com) found some specs, gm didnt have efi for the most part outside of the crossfire system that was garbage, tbi didnt come out till i wanna say 1985 (possible swap option later down the road?)
Progress update time. I spent way too much time recreating the taxi that hits the Joker in the Joker movie (no skin yet), for some reason it had a few custom parts that I had to model based on existing models. Added lowrider hydraulics, Jbeam by @Ihmemies allan , models edited from the Bluebuck Added warning chime by @mrsmash Added FBI concealed flashers I know all of this already, the 267 we already have. And I know both of the V6s are basically V8s with 2 cylinders cut off and would be modelled as such, wouldn't be too hard probably.
Considering the first Caprice model in the mod is the 1985, perhaps the impala options can be simplified to same (their last year). The 250 I6 can be forgotten in any case since it disappeared for 1980.
Maybe a V6 engine might not be as hard to add as I thought, as long as these janky textures reused from the V8 and a bit of clipping are acceptable.
Propably until they got something faster and more agile than a big V8-powered boat, that’s where I’d start looking Also, very cool mod!
hey chould you make a 1979 oldsmobile tail light version, i know you said you cant change the deformation but maybe ? i just like light bars
This is almost like a whole different body style... I don't have anywhere near enough skill to model that
Adding a new variant would not change the deformation of the old one. But still can't add it because idk how to model it.
To be more precise, i just suggested to Agent_Y that i would be happy if he could keep the overall deformation as much as he can, as i was very happy about it and it was a lot of work, especially the front end. That said, being amazed by the amount of work that he puts to revamp the whole thing, and being retired from anything related to modding, it wouldn't be so nice from me to forbid firmly and strictly any changes. I just added some wishes that's all. Most important one is wishing him good luck to achieve this
Progress update time! Since many people liked the V6 I decided to finish it and add to the mod. Finished V6 engine model, thanks to the prop transform tool I was able to easily reuse a lot of the models from the V8. Added 5 V6 engines that use this model: 229 CUI Buick Fireball V6 (Available on Caprice until 1985 only in California) 229 CUI Chevrolet 90° V6 (Available on Caprice and Impala until 1985 in all states except California) 231 CUI Buick Fireball V6 (Available on Delta 88, and Impala until 1985 only in California) 252 CUI Buick Fireball V6 (Available on Ninety-Eight since 1981) 262 CUI Chevrolet 90° V6 (Available on Caprice since 1985) Added gasoline fuel injection, standard on the 262 V6, but can be used on all engines Added new engine bay parts to fit the V6 engine Added some other small parts that I found on references
