The new UI isnt that new you know... Been there since the very first experimental build a few months ago....

Experimentals are experimental for a reason. Absolutely zero guarantee of stability. Don't like it, go back to stable then.

No, I am talking about the new part selector and option UI, only accessible through the "menu" button on the top right.

I don't understand people like Vertigo. You push for an update, insult the devs... Then get mad when they release a broken build that has no right to be out in the public because of said stability issues. Can somebody, anybody, explain this mindset to me? Please? I'd like to learn the inner workings of people like this.

I don't understand people like red robin. You overreact to what I say think I am insulting the developers. This build is stable, unlike I said in the past and I already corrected it. It's people like you who overreact and insult others just to feel some sense of fun.

I do think developers are doing a good job, but I do not understand why they are working on replacing perfectly functional parts of the UI. (Or is there some kind of problem with the UI that I do not know about?)

Sorry to hear that. The issue has been known for a while, and it has been extremely elusive... almost impossible to replicate in our environments.

A fix is being worked on. Meanwhile, this might help to all those who are trying the Experimental build and suffering the same issue:

    Thanks for your patience!

Yay! Finally OpenGL support. It works much, much better on my computer than other graphics systems. But I will not be getting a force feedback wheel for a long, long time. I will have to do a clean install as some stuff is getting broken. Like the total absence of trailers.

did you even READ the changelog? it also fixes quite a few bugs, makes some improvments to the game, and other stuff

    http://steamcommunity.com/games/284160/announcements/detail/221002548589619770

also, even then it's still called experimental for a reason: it's going to be the latest and greatest, bugs and all

Sorry, I will just stop posting about the game. Sorry for making everyone angry. Yes, I am seriously just going to stop posting about Beamng drive. (Excluding mods). I want a moderator to lock this.

FPS increase for me, also the deformation seems to be softer (which is a good thing)

I'm not insulting you "for the fun of it"
You begged for the update, then complain when it doesn't work.
You understand what "experimental" means, don't you?

    - - - Updated - - -

    nah dude
We don't need a lock. It's pretty much become the thread to discuss the update.
    Let's just stop bickering.

Exactly what Potato says, if you don't want a potentially broken Experimental then don't switch to Experimental.

I have made mistakes and I want to clean them up by just locking this. Any responses just make this stupid situation worse.

    New things :v

    From what I see..
    - Improved overall performance
    - Improved the new vehicle selector
    - Partially working new part selector
    - Partially (?) working new option menu

I haven't checked but it may contain updates for vehicle and maps such as the fully textured trailer for the D15, and more progresses on the Hirochi Racetrack.

Wow, it's like I just spent 500 bucks on a new computer! Amost all the FPS stutter seems to be gone, especially the microstutter/input lag stuff. I tried various vehicles on East Coast. I get one tiny hiccup on the first crash, and I experienced one small hang near the beggining that was maybe 50mS. FPS drops slightly on bridges still, which I'm guessing is a collision mesh thing. And this is all on high settings, when before I couldn't enjoy it even on lowest everything.

There seems to be some physics improvement as well, my weak AMD could only do 18-19 fps with the Moonhawk and now I am just on that 25fps cusp. People with struggling computers are going to love this build!

    Problems Encountered:

I had an issue with the game not starting, citing a steam_api.dll missing. I had to verify the cache in steam, it downloaded more things, now it works, no errors or crashes since.

The parts menu doesn't seem to have subslots, and vehicle hard resets or changes take a long time.

Does this update allow us to configure custom controllers/wheels etc.?
