Ah yes, crash on game exit after having used VR is a known issue. We'll take a look, thanks for reporting!

I'm suffering from 0xC0000001when launching vr. I launch in to Volcan fine but when I launch vr in beam it crashes with this error code. Any help would be appreciated.

Only major problems I'm having now are sound and controller not working.

For the controller, it stops working as soon as I enable VR. Using a DualShock4 plugged directly into the PC with a USB cable, no DS4Windows or anything like that. I've been having to use the keyboard, which is bad enough when I can see it, even worse when I can't lol.

Ok so I managed to get the controller working after realising that it didn't work when I relaunched the game outside of VR either, DX or Vulkan. I had to restart the entire PC for it to work, but then my keyboard stopped working for some reason.

Sound works through the headset fine when I'm not in VR, then as soon as I launch it, sounds changes over to my USB headset. That might be Windows 10/11 being screwy, would not surprise me given how funny it is with audio devices.

So, I am very pleased with the performance. My 1080ti and HTC Vive 1.0 can run it at an acceptable ~50fps with dynamic reflections off. Great start so far.

I am pleasantly surprised by the performance. It is very dependant on what map you are on tho.
On WCUSA my avg FPS is between 45 and 75 depending on the area.
On Johnson Valley I'm getting a mostly perfect 90FPS.
On ECUSA, average was around 60-70fps.
    My settings:
    Mesh Quality - High
    Texture Quality - High
    Lighting Quality - Low
    Shadows Visibility - All
    Shader Quality - Normal
    Post Processing Quality - Normal
    Anisotropic Filtering - 16x
    Dynamic Reflections - Off

Settings could probably do with some adjustment.

    PC Specs:
    Ryzen 5 3600, RX 6750 XT, 16GB 3200MHz RAM

Everything works perfectly "out-of-the-box"! Using Oculus Q2 / 4090, 13900k. ECUSA, traffic enabled, 72fps everything maxed including dynamic reflections. Centering the view is a bit tricky though, it would really help, if the up-down axis could be trimmed with "up"-"down" arrows on the keyboard. Absolutely EPIC, that the time has come to VR implementation in BeamNG! Didn´t expect it at all as I remember the game engine being limited with multiple cameras. How was it done? And could split screen happen now or is it some other kind of trickery?
(I am still hoping, that one day the Garage to Garage mode would allow to navigate only using the minimap GPS line and lose the big blue arrows, that break the immersion even more so now, with VR. After previous update, the dev´s answer was that this can not be done unfortunately though.)

Overall I'm really happy with being able to at least experience the game in VR like I've wanted to since I got my headset. Aside from a few teething troubles that I've mentioned above, it's a really nice way to play the game. Cars seem more driveable because I have the depth perception needed to judge corners properly. That means I can drive faster and crash less than in flatscreen.

My only real pain point is that the camera jitters violently when making large panning motions with my head, like when drifting. It's almost like something else is trying to fight my own movements and drag it to predefined positions or something. Whatever it is, it's a huge distraction and I hope there's a fix coming, or better yet, some setting that I can turn off to stop it doing that.

I used to experience this in assetto corsa vr (heavily modded with csp). Try lowering headset resolution if possible and see if that helps.

That typically means you're not hitting the minimum framerate required for your VR headset (typically half the headset refresh rate. so for example, if your headset is a 120Hz headset, you need 60fps. if it's a 90Hz headset, you need 45fps. as a *minimum*, not average fps).

It's been running okay with just 8gb VRAM, on smaller maps at least. Utah didn't work at all, but small island ran okay-ish.

Go working VR on my R5 5800X and RTX3060Ti, In VR to get the same framefate as normal must drop my settings from almost max to low(not lowest).
Got the issue with ffb but it works, but water reflections looks a bit dank and mby made me a little dizzy

As a matter of fact in getting stable 46-ish FPS when I finished tinkering with the settings, so it is stable and working good

So far everything works out of the box with my Oculus quest 2 and get decent frames with a 3080 on high with dynamic reflections. There are a few times where the game just freezes or crashes with "Access Violation"

Launch game in Vulkan mode > Options > Display > VR > Toggle VR.

If you have any issues, please check to see if it's listed in https://documentation.beamng.com/known-issues/
