96' Pessima Coupe I present to you, my very first mod of any real significance, the 96' Pessima Coupe Now i'll have to disappoint, as this poor thing is riddled with issues so bizarre and unexplainable, that i'm thinking of scrapping the whole thing and starting from scratch send help But, if you close your eyes really hard, don't ever even think about looking at the Jbeam - this one's real bad - and you don't really care about using skins - then this is the mod for you! The good: Should be somewhat compatible with any mods for the pessima Looks good from about 50 metres The real bad: I honestly didn't even try to make proper UVs as I have no clue how to do that properly at all So you get slightly broken chrome and no skin support (also no trim on the b pillar because my custom trim parts hate me for some reason) Jbeam - I honestly had no clue what I was doing, this one's going to have to be made again from scratch The 3d model is bad, like just simply bad, it's a case of a major skill issue The side skirts also explode (only when using vanilla gtz config) The interior is a disgrace to be perfectly honest, not to the extent of the jbeam, but yeah it's pretty bad the void But if you focus on the good things it's basically a lighter, nicer looking pessima Just don't look at the details Bonus crash pic I'll make it public once I figure out the trim issues, improve the model, and learn how to make UV maps Have a nice day!
I mean, it’s what it’s supposed to be, a coupé version. Looks better than my mod’s coupe at least lol --- Post updated --- But I mean something extra sporty and slightly different looking, like „Pessima GTz SportCoupe” or something wouldn’t hurt much, depends on what OP thinks --- Post updated --- I just realized that I made up that SportCoupe name because of the name of this thread https://www.beamng.com/threads/seat-ibiza-sportcoupé-cupra-6j-2009-2012.94161/page-2#post-1633678 lol
Guys, can we not go easy? 'Myshowovv' only just joined the forum one month ago, is making their first mod (to the benefit of us all) and, IMO is doing a pretty good job of it. Do you not think? 'Myshow' only asked for help a week ago because they are just starting out, now look at the progress already. After their help post I DM'd them to give encouragement to post a thread, because I really like the idea of a 3 door Pessima. It's a very early piece of work that has already developed really quickly and, with the encouragement and aid of the more experienced people on the forum, could turn out really damn good. Go easy on the OP, people. Would you rather that they didn't bother to put their energy into improving the lore of the game and just posted IRL Mesh Slaps on 3rd party sites instead? Personally, I'd like to see this mod and more of the OP's mods develop and improve over time, instead of seeing another enthusiastic but burned out modder leaving the scene after a year or two. I certainly can't help out much, but I know that you two guys (at least) could do, if you felt like it. Anyone with little knowledge that has tried to mod (Like me) knows how steep the learning curve is. I've worked out a few things and improved a few mods for myself privately, but I have zero confidence to post or even ask for permission to post. Don't give those that do a hard time? Can you, better and more experienced people, not give them a hand/leg up instead? P.s. I agree with SSRG that a "Pessima GTz SportCoupe" would be awesome, but the OP will need some time to learn and refine before going deeper into the rabbit hole. I'd be a much happier member (and "lurker") of the Forum community, if I saw more help being given than shots fired sometimes. Just my 2 cents.
Now I appreciate the suggestions, unfortunately I'm going to have to say that this mod is going to have to be improved A LOT before I even think about doing anything else. The main goal is just adding a bit of variety to the game, in the same way we have two body styles for the bluebuck, and as I always liked the idea of a semi-modern two door japanese car - then that's exactly what I'm trying to achieve here - nothing more, nothing less. Also, since the pessima remaster, we lost a bunch of good mods for it Now I MIGHT, and that's a big might, take on doing some more body styles (a wagon presumably) when I'm done with this one, but as I said - I don't plan on making any other stuff that's not strictly related to the body style of the car, at least for now
100% mate! If (certain) other forum members got on board with this...? maybe wanted to integrate this idea into their already massive pack??? (Cough, Cough... LJ!!. Cough, Cough... Kuseo!) Then this new guy might have the motivation to keep improving their mod... I'd love to see a 3dr Pessima in the LJKP.
