(this is my first ever post in the forums so take this with a grain of salt i guess? and english isnt my native language so forgive me if the wording or anything is bad) ive had issues with the script ai in the past, like a lot. specially one where the ai just understeer/brake more than necessary whenever they take a turn very fast. unfortunately i couldnt find a single solution in the forums sooo i decided to fix it myself. its a very simple solution, all i did was increase the steering and decrease the deviation coefficients in the code. but i hope this helps with your recordings please keep in mind that this adjustment will impact ALL script ai paths, including those unrelated to nascar. this means that even non-nascar-related paths can be affected, as the car will not brake as aggressively when deviating too much from the path. however, I believe this change could also benefit those recordings in some way. (I have no idea if this was already a known solution or if its fixable within the game itself, if thats the case i probably didnt look deep enough. If it isnt then im surprised no one tried this before since its a very easy fix.) How to install: 1. go to your installation folder 2. go to lua/vehicle 3. drop the file there
note: it works even better if you increase the static friction in the asphalt --- Post updated --- just a tip: if you plan to record a lot of cars at once you can put slow motion and then speed up the recording when editing, it will make it look smoother
I got the game like 7 months ago, I wanted to set up the AI but I was too lazy to, can you tell me how to set up the AI to follow this?
as long as your line doesnt hit the wall, it should. this just helps to make the ai turn more and not brake as often
your game physically cannot work if you dont have those folders so you SHOULD have them. and no you cant put it anywhere else other than the place i mentioned.
You should be able to find it by doing this process. File Manager / Program Files (x86) / Steam / steamapps / common / BeamNG.Drive / lua / vehicle.
