Re: B-25 Mitchell Amazing mod! My jaw just dropped to the next floor bellow me! The amount of details, beautiful! Congratulations and thanks!
Re: B-25 Mitchell Actually, setting a color for it breaks it, have no color (using Space bar for the vehicle doesn't help, use CTRL + E instead.)
Re: B-25 Mitchell The CTRL + E menu will be removed eventually in favor of Beamng's custom menu. But it can be said that using the spacebar menu breaks textures.
Re: B-25 Mitchell That thing is just EEEEPIC. So massiv and so fun and smooth flight even on keyboard... and that bringed me to question... what are biggest maps for BNG? and if there will HUGE basic detaled maps like Grenoble from RoR? now it makes me wonder, did we see Superfortress?
Re: B-25 Mitchell I see you used the Cessna engine Jbeam Could I recommend changing it to manual, and adding let's say, 5+ gears, for more throttle control.
Re: B-25 Mitchell I would really like to do this but every time I try implementing manual gears the throttle (mapped to negative pitch) influences the power, which is clearly wrong. I may have to revisit this once I understand the way engines work in BeamNG.drive a little better, that is, after I've made an actual car.
Re: B-25 Mitchell It is a very nice mod, but there are two things that could be improved. First, the blades of the propeller are shiny, there sould be matt, it is rubber. And second, one of the propeller need to rotate anticlockwise . It is a phisics related problem in real life. Do not get me wrong, it is just awesome.
Re: B-25 Mitchell No offence, but none of that is true at all. The B-25 has metal propellers which both rotate clockwise. Furthermore, there is no physics problem that demands counter-rotating props - even single-engine aircraft can handle the torque just fine at normal speeds.
Re: B-25 Mitchell I personally think that the 2 cockpit pieces separate far too easily. I don't know how to make mods and things, but if the cockpit parts could be "tightened" so they don't fall off so easily I think it would add to the immersion more. Because currently, unless you just belly land it, every single crash rips those 2 parts off
Re: B-25 Mitchell Sorry, about the misconsumption with the props , but there are advantages of counter-rotating props . It reduces the efect of the P-Factor also called asymmetrical yaw, that happends on multi engine planes and helicopter. (imported from here) (imported from here) On Single engine plane the efect is to little to make problems. So I thougth that every multi engine plane has counter-rotation props. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counter-rotating_propellers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P-factor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Critical_engine
Re: B-25 Mitchell i tried it but it said "instability detected for vehicle vehicles/B25Mitchell/:enabling beam break debug, reseting the vehicle and disabling the physics." Do i need to get the experimental build? and do you need steam to get it? if that is the case then i am in trouble.
Re: B-25 Mitchell There are definitely advantages. It's just that the B-25 never had counter-rotating props. Few WWII aircraft did.
Re: B-25 Mitchell Yeah it only works in the experimental build. But I don't know if that's only on Steam.
Re: B-25 Mitchell it is. Although I dont see how steam is a problem considering everyone gets access to the steam version...
Re: B-25 Mitchell We've had problems with it so... I'm out of luck then, unless Mitch can put up a non experimental version.
Re: B-25 Mitchell All future updates are on steam only and the mod relies on features simply not possible in the stable branch. What do you mean by having problems with it?
Re: B-25 Mitchell And she needs to know??? Steam was never hacked btw, but that really is a crap justification regardless. Xbox live has been hacked, facebook hacked, playstation network hacked, yahoo email hacked, *PAYPAL* hacked, ebay hacked and god knows what else. If you had to quit using absolutely everything that gets hacked then you wouldnt be able to use the internet. By default steam doesn't save payment details. Otherwise the only personal info on there is an email and password. Internet safety 101 is to not use the same password for multiple accounts so unless you yourself are not safe online, that is not an issue and there is nothing there for a hacker to obtain (steam does however remember my paypal, but only as I set it to, in which case that's down to me not steam really). The only steam hack to ever occur sadly had blame resting with the victims as it occurred through some people visiting a scam site which ripped their details, it was spread via Steam chat with people claiming they wanted to trade or something obvious. Its obvious really, people were directly handing over their login details without realising. It wasn't a keyboard warrior remotely hacking into the steam server, it was people handing details over directly. Regardless. Steam only needs an email address to sign up. I'm sure you have your own email account... And also minimum age on these forums are 16, if you are under that you might want to keep that on the down low (bans have been issued), otherwise your mum shouldn't control you at 16
Re: B-25 Mitchell I meant my account and my moms paypal got hacked into, sorry for the confusion. and yes i am 16
