    - Possible Export Bug - Locked to exporting only 1 jbeam

    Don't know if this bug has been found already but there is one where a jbeam export gets stuck as the default and only export. For example if I import a hood jbeam and move some nodes and export it, and later import a fender jbeam and do some work and export it, the hood jbeam is the only jbeam file that exports. If I save the file and reopen it, it doen't fix the issue. If I delete the hood jbeam from the blender file, save and reopen and then try to export the fender jbeam it still outputs the hood jbeam only. If I delete the whole scene and all objects, save and reopen, import a trunk jbeam move some nodes and export it, then it still exports only the hood jbeam. Somehow a jbeam gets locked into the blender file code and that is the only thing that will export. (Blender v3.6)

    Here is an example the jbeam export issue blender file "Cannon_Export.txt" (rename to "Cannon.Export.blend")
    When you export the cannon jbeam it will give you the cannon base jbeam even though the cannon base jbeam is already deleted.

    -IMPORTANT-
    CHANGE THE EXTESION FROM ".TXT" TO ".BLEND"

    Hmm, in the code there is a functionality to prevent older exported jbeam files from being set as the "original" jbeam file on undoing changes (in Blender, pressing undo undoes even variables I set by code. So I kind of did a hacky way to prevent undo from undoing variables I don't want to be affected by undoes like this). But it should only apply the lock to a single part. I'll look into it later.

    Hmm it works properly for me, as in I followed your first instructions using the ETK800 JBeam files. Did you happen to rename/move the JBeam files at any point? It relies on the JBeam files being in the same location the whole time.

    Currently I'm working on implementing full vehicle importing, editing, and exporting for the next update. The editing will hopefully include text editor integration, similiar to NBE.

    cant get the jbeam import option to appear in the import menu, a jbeam option shows just fine when trying to export but not import

    the jbeam export is not from this addon, that is from the other jbeam editor, the one before the official one, have you enabled the addon? or have you installed via prefrences and then addons and then install addon at the top?

    i meant that the one you had displayed wasnt from this addon, it is from this addon, the official addon has a jbeam export button without the arrow next to it. also how did you install the addon if i may ask?

    every time i installed the add-on, that exporter is what i get, i haven't installed the old one

    what version of blender do you have, maybe update it, it may work then, if that doesnt work, just download it from my drive here

    Is anyone else having issues with this? I've been trying to move some nodes the last couple of days & it either moves them randomly after saving or it's not saving the changes at all.

    Yup everything is going alright. The next update is gonna be a big update with being able to import full vehicles, text editor integration, and beam/triangle exporting. I've also been facing some hiccups here and there due to some limitations with Blender and being new with it :) Anyways here's the branch on GitHub I'm currently working on which is being updated frequently: https://github.com/BeamNG/Blender-JBeam-Editor/tree/vehicle_importer The "main" branch gets updated for new releases. Most probably in the future, releases won't be this sparse and more frequent, once the "important" features make their way into the addon.

    Hmm do you get any error messages or anything when it happens?

    I am greatly hoping for the feature of making new beams and adding triangles. When that finally releases, I may start using it!

    also @angelo234 (sorry if i ping too much XD my fault) it would be great if there is a possibility for it to be released this christmas break, because then the aventador mod is gonna go 10x faster lol, i dont care if there a bugs, i just want the option to export triangles and beams, i just want to do that, ofcourse its probably too early, but as i said, i dont care about the bugs, as long as it works
