So, we all know that just like IRL, in BeamNG, different brands are friends or foes. But it’s sometimes hard to help track of. So, I made a little connection board thing. You can point out links between different brands, or brands of high-quality lore-friendly mods that I missed. The legend/whatever it’s called is simple: Green - friends Red - foes Yellow - one owns the other The links are darker if it’s not confirmed. Here’s the current image (updated nicely courtesy of @DieselDuster): For an explanation of the first links (later ones will be expressed in further posts): - We know Ibishu and Autron are friends, that’s Autron’s whole gimmick - Arima is a “competing brand”, so this means it’s propably competing with the likes of Ibishu and Hirochi (if I didn’t write a link, I definitely will after this post), same with Ibishu and Hirochi. - Arima is connected to Gavril according to the Arima USDM Expansion pack mod - Gavril and Cherrier are connected with the Gavril Scout - Cherrier owns Miovi - Gavril is most definitely a competition brand to Bruckell
UPDATE: I remembered the Cherrier Rayonner exists, added connection between Bruckell and Cherrier. Will update the first post’s image.
Should I keep the link between Bruckell and Gavril? Because the Scout and Rayonner both have Cherrier work together with these companies. But then again, these could just have been one-off collabs, or that everyone loves Cherrier.
Has it been confirmed that ETK actually stands for Einfluss Technik Kraften? Pretty sure Kraften isn't a german word, and knowing that BeamNGs HQ is in germany I think they'd at least have ETK make some kind of sense. I also doubt E stands for Einfluss, because that would just make no sense. I barely use the ETK test center, but I vividly remember a "Freude am experimentieren" billboard, so I'd guess it's going to be something with 'experiment'. Experimentelle Technik Something? but maybe i missed something, ignore this then
Found this on the old wiki: “I had some relatively nonsensical German words there (including Kraften) but then I forgot what they were. I think it was Einfluss Technik Kraften which doesn't make any sense. I found out later that ETK is a known German abbreviation for a parts catalog.” —Gabester, in response to the question "What does ETK stand for?", 2400i Forum Page, 11 December 2012
That's pretty nice and cool! didn't know this exist till now... (I think there's a relationship between Civetta and autobello. dont know if friend or foes or if owning another, but if remember correctly, there's a communication between them.)
The "Auto" stands for car and automobiles, and the "Bello" was the last name of the founder. that's a interesting beam history.
UPDATE: Added dates for some of these, others will be added later (Mainly Cherrier-Bruckell and Gavril-Arima)
I did a redo for it of some sort, here it is: (SSRG, whatever i searched about "Nova" i didn't found anything. can you tell me what brand that is so i can put logos for it?) -Added Dates (& Lines) (Wentward x Gavril) -Added logos for all brands (Exept Nova) -New color: Orange (not very friendly, or somewhat foes) -Added shortened names for some brands with a long name -Added Sandstorm Performance (SP) Re-did the lines for the two brand under one brand-thing (Gavril & Burnside, Hirochi & Procyon, Bruckell & Soliad) OT: Huh, that's interesting, didn't know that.
Nova is a A little secret of mine ;D --- Post updated --- Added it to the first post. Thanks a lot! Also, surprised you didn’t know the Soliad thing.
Idk if this should count but in my signature I have a bunch of fictional brands, and the main two I make is Primer and Livabl. Primer owns Livabl as well as all my other companies. Rayonner and Rocketship are planned to be versions of Primer vehicle that are more luxurious or sporty. You don’t have to include these but thought I should just throw it out there
So Autobello is owning civetta? it would make since IRL, but i dont think it would go too well with beamng lore, but interesting pretty interesting. @SSRG what do you say? OT/Fun fact: Wentward started producing trucks since the 80s, (see this thing to get what im talking about) the (almost) same time as the T-series was produced, so wentward also made a truck to compete with the gavril trucks, while wentward is a only-heavy machinery producing company, gavril produces all type of vehicles, so you can say wentward is a foe with the truck side of gavril since the 80s.
