Alright! The textures took me a week more than I hoped for, but at long last they (along with the entirety of the high-poly models) are done! Here are the two dashboards: And the rest of the interior - in 6 different colors & designs for you to choose from! There are some bits still missing, but for the most part this is how the finished product should look like. Took me only 3 months On another note, I've been working on this car pretty much non-stop since early July - that's 4 and a half months - and I can really feel the burnout getting to me. Worst case scenario, continuing to work on this any longer without any breaks will lead to another Mistral situation where I disappear for a quarter of a year, so I think I will go on a break from this project for now. Or maybe I'll just slow down the progress. We'll see!
These are sick! I love ‘em. Yeah, taking a break for a moment would be a good idea if you feel burnt out a little.
m-m--m-m-m-m--m-m-maluch?!?!??!? --- Post updated --- No but seriously, i've been waiting for one of these mods for a while. They look incredible. Hell, i don't care if its paid or not. I need this in my life. Seriously though, someone needs to keep me updated when it releases!
This is just a random thought I had about the conceptual part of a mod making process. This car has a direct competitor in game already. The Satsuma 1000 (or the my summer car, car) the size and time in production are quite close. So Aria would be directly competing with Satsuma. Funny enough it is a pattern that is repeating itself. Dev Picolina and the Satsuma 210 also shared the same segment and time. Just something for people who like the BeamNG lore.
Well hello again! I've been working on the car again for about a week, and now I am back with some new content! So, let's start off with a general part refresh - remade bumpers, antennas, mudflaps, side trims, a new tailgate spoiler: The bumpers are now much slimmer and more realistic - especially the facelifted one. You can also take off the bumper guards in the pre-lift ones - that's a luxury only the high-end models will have. Continuing, 6 brand new grilles for you to choose from: Left to right - base trim, Corse and the high-end trim. The facelift Corse grille is a nod to the original 127 Sport. The next part - fully remade bodykits! Here is the one that'll be used in the Track variant - with a redesigned spoiler and fender flares based on real 127 racecars: And here's the goodie: the super-wide Hillclimb kit - with a massive airdam, even bigger wing, a front splitter and a diffuser: Why so much downforce for a FWD car? Well, because this little thing will be powered by a mid-engine RWD turbo Hayabusa swap pushing out ~320 hp at screaming 12k RPM, along with a custom cut chassis and independent double wishbone suspension on all 4 corners. Mechanically, the whole powertrain is already in-game, and trust me, it really needs all of that downforce. The models are yet to come, but that will be after I re-texture the entire chassis (which should be soon). Other than that, I've made a lot of jbeam tweaks - the car is now around 20kg lighter and is a lot weaker in impacts - though still too strong for how I'd like it to be. I've also fully re-tuned the engines and the performance parts, so now you can push up to 400hp with the 1.5 DOHC turbo at full boost, rather than just 275hp. Alright, that's all the progress - for now, and for the whole year. So thanks for staying with me for these past however-many months. and here's to a great 2024!
