I'd love to get some straight pipes for my truck. They sound wicked. No exhaust would be just a tad bit too loud though.

I don't want to have a very loud car until I'm living on my own because it would make sneaking out a bitch.

I couldn't sneak out even if I was a ninja. We have an alarm system that my parents set every night. If any door or window opens, it goes off. The controls are only in their room or the garage. I can't get to the garage without opening the door and setting off the alarm, and I couldn't sneak into my parent room to turn it off. The control panel makes a loud beep every time you press a button and my dog sleeps with them so he'd wake up and growl at me. Sneaking out is not an option here.

We have an alarm like that, too.
A control in their room, by the door into the garage, and one in the basement. If you disarm it, every control in the house makes a pretty loud series of beeps. Luckily, they don't set it anymore.
And I'm pretty sure there aren't any sensors in the windows so I could jump out of my window and onto the roof, then the deck.
Or maybe there are sensors in the windows. Idk.
The alarm is loud as fuck. I love to scare the shit out of the cats with it. I don't do it often, though, because it disturbs the whole neighborhood.

Right after we moved into our house (I was seven) I had got up to go grab a drink of water from the kitchen downstairs. My dad forgot to set the alarm to go off for only doors and windows. So basically if the motion sensors inside the home detected movement, the alarm would go off. I had gotten downstairs and walked a ways into the living room and flicked on the lights. Right as I hit the light switch the motion sensor detected me and went off. I screamed and fell to the ground crying in terror because I had no idea what was happening. It was deafening. It took a couple hours for me to calm down after that. I was pretty upset for a while.

I was putting a cat out about a year ago and for some reason the alarm was set. Opened the door and it went off. Cat scratched me all up my side and my arm when she jumped.
I'm sure it scared the shit out of my dog too but he was in the basement so idk.

You brits and your CCTV. We have no alarms, our back slider doesn't even have a working lock.

Home CCTV is *incredibly* rare in the UK.

CCTV in shops, thats common, I dont give a shit about it in stores though because frankly I'm walking around in public anyway, right in plain sight, dont care if the camera picks me up at the till. People say its an invasion of privacy, you're in fucking public. If it helps catch thieves then its all cool as far as I care.

I'm fine with CCTV for the most part. Helps catch the criminals and shit etc.
It's quite annoying to have it some places where you're doing stuff that's frowned upon but not really severely illegal.
Like when I climbed up on the roof of the school.
They had no reason to review it because I didn't fuck anything up, but if they wanted they could have backed the footage up and had 5 views of me climbing up there.
I'm not really much of a hoodlum.
Well I do a lot of stupid stuff, both my myself and with friends, but not the stupid stuff thats illegal.
I'm a hoodlum but not in the illegal way.

Precisely. Although we have it because being on a farm we are somewhat isolated, no neighbourhood to have a neighbourhood watch, so we have a camera watch instead and sure enough it has picked up people snooping since install.

Well this was the original "General Discussion Chat" so that's how we got to 100 pages. It's slowed down significantly since the creation of the General Discussion Chat thread unfortunately.

I like how with literally nothing past the turbo for exhaust my car is only as loud as an average stock diesel truck lol.
    Updated picture for cred:

Well, I'm finally back up with my 280x. I love the cooler on the new series of cards more than the old ones. Not only is it metal, but with my card running full out I'm at 38% fanspeed for 74c.

Anyways, I'm back in the fold. Driver optimizations seem to have happened since my card broke. Now closer to 170k instead of 150k. It might also be the 13000 wu.

The new 10467 work unit has even better ppd. I'm at almost 200k vs the 170k I had.
