Super crappy FPS getting worse and worse

    When this game first came out I had 60fps the whole time. Now it starts at 50 and once i drive or crash it stays at 30 and never goes back up. I love this game but this is pissing me off. all settings are medium and resolution is 1080p

    Specs: 3570k intel cpu, gtx 770, 8gb ram

    Try deleting the cache.

    There is a 6 character limit on the forums. And you go into the beamng file and delete the cache there

    Also like the thread starter, i was expecting to get better fps as the game evolved and got compressed more, i seem to be getting the opposite.

    My FPS effectively doubled with the last update. But I have noticed earlier versions slowing down and clearing the cache seemed to help. May have been in my head. Something else might be going on with your computer, or maybe you have SSAO on now or some setting which you didn't before.

    Yes. My fps is extremely bad compared to other games. I have a brand-spanking new GTX 970M, and I sometimes dip as low as 20fps. :/

    Ummmmm no? I have a laptop with a 4700MQ (a bit worse than his), and it's fine for me. You might want to research/know about the subject before posting next time.

    What annoys me most is when people pretend they know certain things they don't, I know jack shit about computers, However this is not the case with Diesel engines. Admit it that you don't know about computers.
    Whats better then someone who knows everything? Someone willing to learn.

    If you are playing on East Coast USA, or Hirochi Raceway. These maps have not yet been completely optimized and may still have a lot of lag.

    Seriously. This laptop is less than two weeks old. I got it 4 days before it's release date, and it can handle pretty much any game on ultra. (Save for planetside 2, because there are like 300 players to render and the devs don't know what optmization is)

    I've been able to handle games much more graphically intensive than this, but I don't know why I can't get great frames. (They're decent, as my old laptop played everything on low at 24-30fps)

    in some cases, especially on the industrial island, my frame-rate will drop below 18fps. :( it's a fantastic game, though.

    I have a laptop with similar specs. I can tell laptop aren't enough to run BeamNG.
    While my Pc has a i5, my laptop with an i7 can barely go over 30fps. It's due the nature of laptop cpu I suppose, they aren't supposed meant to go full overload, and that is bad with BeamNG since its a Cpu intensive game.

    It seems to vary greatly depending on the map. Is the game not fully optimized yet? Will that be something to come in the future? I understand it's an alpha test, so I'm sure it's not completely there, yet.

    I get close to 40fps with my laptop with lighting setting on lowest and on low I can get around 20-25fps

    My specs are here:

    Intel® Core™ i3-3120M Processor
    Windows 8
    Intel® Integrated Graphics
    500GB HDD (5400rpm, Serial ATA)


    My graphics card sucks major D but whatever.... beamng 40fps with lowest settings is TOTALLY fine with me :cool:... my family doesn't even own a desktop :eek:

    Yeah. That's the thing. I upgraded from an HP with intel 4000HD integrated gpu. My new one is

    Intel Core i7-4710HQ @ 2.5ghz (3.2ghz with "turbo" from ROG)
    Windows 8.1 64-bit (x86)
    Nvidia GTX 970M
    1TB HDD (7200rpm)
    4TB external HDD

    Literally, this laptop has handled everything thrown at it like it's nothing. There are only a couple games which I don't actually lock it at 60fps. But I guess we just wait.

    My pc specs are
    Cpu: i5 4690k
    Gpu: Gtx 970 Windforce
    Ram: 8gb 1866mhz
    I run the game at about 55-65 fps usually but can drop as low as 30-40
    My system can run any game I throw at it on ultra with great performance but this game just seems to poop on everyones system.
    What I'm wondering is if the game is not fully utilizing the processing and graphical capabilities of our computers, I'd be very interested if someone monitored their Cpu and Gpu usage whilst playing this game and see if it really is using 100% of both. If not then that might be the problem.

    Usage on graph shows in game, screenshot was taken while I was tabbed out. its only using like 50%
