Actually, the T-Series is a mainly USDM-truck, which would maybe work as an AUDM truck, but not as EUDM. Adding a new semi truck after a huge remaster of a semi truck would be weird, and would probably make people complain about "all the trucking stuff," just as they complain now about "all the off-road stuff." "TROCK" is also the wrong spelling. I think you meant 'truck'. Also, telling about things you want is not speculation. It also doesn't make sense to "speculate", even though requests aren't speculation, before the previous update has even released and blah blah blah...
I didn't say it would be need to come with a near/close future update, or the the update that the T-series will be coming with, it also would make for AUDM, but, since we dont have any other official ingame trucks except the T-series, i thought it would be a good idea to add a EUDM truck aswell, either with the heavy machinery update themes,or something else in another time, and since there's no official euro truck ingame yet, i dont think it would go as far as the offroad stuff (witch had quite alot of updates dedicated to itself), not either by the devs to add ALL of the irl truck/truck related stuff, neither with the people getting bored with it, just like they did with the offroad updates and content, since i dont think the devs will go for the big amount of content for some trucks (if they decide to go and do a euro truck and something like that) as they did for the offroaders. also i wrote the "Truck" like that cause i wanted to. sounded funnier to me
Well, aktshually, many trucks in use in Australia are American long-hood models, because they have more interior space, bigger, more powerful engines, more space for cooling systems, and other things along those lines.
Well, i dont think that could be a common thing in europe (both regulations/style of machines/engines/fuel economy and all that), but in the US and Australia, yeah it could be a thing.
I speculate that they are going to expand wcusa as they have partially extended one of the highways, and the steel factory already extends into the empty surrounding area
This is a wild guess but perhaps 0.31 will release next week as well? 0.30 released the day after the last teaser, and the most that they usually do 3 or 4 teasers (I think?). So possibly on Wednesday.
I feel like that might be too little time - the creator branch also hasn't been updated yet, and usually, that gets updated a week or two before the update. (Although that wasn't the case for 0.30, where the creator branch was updated a day before the update, so it's possible that the devs will also do that again for this update.)
Yes, that's what I was referencing. I don't know much about how updates regularly work, as I've only started closely following them relatively recently (probably only 0.27 and up), but from what I've seen this could be the case. Wednesday might be a bit of a wishful guess, though I'd imagine it would be before Christmas at the very latest. Then again, the update does look like a heavy one so give or take.
Yeah, highly likely to be before Christmas - there's been a major update before Christmas in: -2015 (0.5, 18th of December) -2016 (0.8, 21st of December) -2018 (0.15, 18th of December) -2019 (0.18, 9th of December/0.18.3, 19th of December) -2020 (0.21, 15th of December) -2021 (0.24, 2nd of December/0.24.1, 20th of December) -2022 (0.27, 13th of December). In 2017, the holiday update (0.11) released on the 23rd of November of that year, but there still was a holiday update in the form of the snowman event - which I can't seem to find the date for anymore. (It also hasn't been re-used since, AFAIK). There also could be an additional update to 0.31, if there is still some extra content that could be added - that's happened before in 2015 (0.5.1, 30th of December), 2019 (0.18.3), and 2021 (0.24.1).
That's good to know that it is coming soon, I would say that this is one of the most anticipated updates. I wonder if this will open up new doors to industrial vehicles, because they're so much fun to use.
Considering that the Hopper Crawler (which released in 0.18.3) led to a slew of specialized off-road content over the next few years (the D-Series Crawler/Pre-Runner in 0.21, the horde of off-road vehicles in 0.27, the Gambler customs in 0.29, and the Aurata in 0.30, among others), I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.
I really hope you're right, because heavy duty vehicles are really missing from the game and there is so much potential to adding such machinery. If BeamNG makes a earthmover haul truck, I would be so happy. Perhaps they will, as mentioned before, they already have tires/maps and such.
One thing I was not expecting from the T-Series remaster was a cabover version - I thought that would have been reserved for, say, a Euro semi, but now that there are cabover T-Series versions, perhaps those are being used to develop the tech needed for a cabover Euro semi. The devs have used older vehicles as testbeds for features for newer vehicles a fair few times. -The K/800 and SBR/Sunburst are particularly noteworthy for this, as their chassis, suspensions, and ESC systems were constantly tweaked over the years before the FCV dropped in 0.19. The SBR was the first vehicle to utilize, about a year before the FCV did. -The Hopper Crawler and D-Series Crawler/Pre-Runner likely were testbeds for the new off-road parts (and tube-frame constructions) that the Rockbasher/Dunekicker/Autobuggy all utilized. -The Bolide has long been a target for suspension tweaks, as it was notorious for being a deathtrap to drive when it first came out. In 0.24.1, it was remastered - and I think quite a bit of the work that went into the Bolide remaster went into making the Scintilla better. There probably are some which I've missed, but those are the most noteworthy examples I can think of.
what do we do after the update releases? Do we just not use this forum for like 2 or 1 week, or do we speculate about something else in the game...?
It's not confirmed, but highly likely, judging by the lack of steps on half of the frames in the image in the post I've linked below. https://www.beamng.com/threads/development-media.24313/page-8#post-1651244
