Depends on the rest of your system. If it's really high end, less RAM might hold you back. But that's very unlikely
I have a gaming laptop (I don't know all of the specs off the top of my head) it has a 4K res screen @ 60Hz @ 10-30 FPS with stuttering in BeamNG. I can't play most games at 4K so I usually lower the resolution a lot. I even changed the computer setting to a lower resolution. EDIT: Grammar edit
Of course you can't run the game at 4K with none except the most powerful laptops. But I don't think that RAM is holding you back. Just make sure to play at 1920x1080 (Full HD). Not needed to run Windows at lower resolution, though.
True, I don't need to lower the Windows resolution. EDIT: I also play the game under HD because I get similar frames (With stuttering of course) after about 5min
Welp, turns out that the problem was that the computer was running on low CPU settings... And now I can run BeamNG at 4K with smooooth 60FPS
i play beamng at 900 by 1600 on my gs63 7rd stealth at low normal mixed settings and i regularly manage to use abot 20 of 24gb or ram. if you can afford it i would recommend using 32gb as im guessing your pc will be higer spec than aa 7700hq and 2gb gtx 1050m
Just because the game will use more RAM if available, that doesn't mean that a system will necessarily perform worse with less RAM. 16 GB is fine.
i would still recommend the 32 if you can afford it as then theres potential for better future upgades and if a game can take advantage of more ram it will and can be very awarding
I wouldn't value your opinion much considering your other thread where you ask about buying a PC yourself.
I don't even think I would do any more upgrades, also considering that it performs just fine now. The 32 was supposed to be a one-off. I also have a laptop making it hard to do upgrades (Don't worry it had room for a 32)
