Didn't take photos, but I replaced my front passenger courtesy door light lense after someone under my cars previous ownership broke the tabs on it (would go flying across the bench seat if I made a right turn). Found a replacement on ebay for 3 dollars and popped it in, good as new now.
There's a 1979 Mercury Grand Marquis 4-door sedan in sky blue for sale 20 miles away. I'll probably check it out this weekend. 6,000 dollars or trades. The previous owner was an old guy that took meticulous care of it. It's so cool. I'll post actual photos later. I don't need another car, but this thing is too good to pass up. Here's an exact lookalike:
Nice, 'know a guy on IG who has a same year same color scheme Grand Marquis but it's a 2dr. He's got slot mags'n everything
Looks to be super clean, Just if I were you I'd be worried about driving it in the winter on salty roads
Fuck. Either, the head gasket blew (likely) the engine block cracked (also likely), or some other shit happened. Fucking hell. Exhaust smells like fuel, oil, and burned coolant, and a bit sweet. There go my hopes of buying that Mercury. Fuck. I’ll probably just swap a Jeep 4.0 or some shit into it. Damn it.
thats the big sad, id throw another 4.2 in there. quick and easy swap, no wiring, plug and play --- Post updated --- i looked it up, a new block is about 2k to 2500 while a full engine without intake, exhaust, valve cover etc is 3500 to 4k id go with an entirely new engine, you don't know the past of that engine and it was probably tired before it cracked or it blew a head gasket, then just swap that (one can only pray)
That sucks, sorry to hear, what were you running in your coolant system? If you had poorly mixed antifreeze with too much water in it, the block could've likely cracked from the water freezing up inside the coolant passages. If you do decide to swap it, get a 4 liter H.O Jeep motor and convert the EFI back to a carburetor
my snowblower does the same thing... spits oil smells burnt oil and white smoke doesnt matter because global warming exists and we arent getting anywhere near the amount of snow as last year and before
Yeah jsut reminded me I spent almost half my summer not mowing our lawn because thé carburator on our Honda lawn mower was dirty, and then the pull cord broke, and then the blade fell off all in one summer. Wtf honestly now it works and we bought another mower and I’m planning on building a go kart with the engine
American shit is better. I have some aluminum 2016 Honda Odyssey EX wheels, though, should I use them to make my Eagle into a donk? No. No, I shouldn’t.
Yep. My parents still have theirs. It’s pretty nice, though. It’s maroon with a beige interior and side window rain guards, a bug shield, black wheels, a trailer hitch, and a roof box (occasionally). That’s why I have those wheels; I got them when my dad swapped the wheels to black.
