I just love the new T-Series variants, and I think that the devs did an amazing job on getting that cool front and interior look in the cabover and making the OG T-Series model much more improved without removing too many of its original parts, but I've found a problem that came to me when spawning multiple trucks. AND DON'T WORRY, to the devs who may or may not be reading this, it's not actually a problem with the T-Series itself, but rather it's trailers. Take a look at this photo. What do you see? Is something missing? For those of you who had answered a truck, you are correct! I believe there are simply too many trailers and not enough trucks. But of course, since the new update LITERALLY just dropped, this might seem unthankful, needy, and overall disrespectful to some. And to that, I have but two counter attacks, and that is that this IS and ONLY a suggestion and this could and most probably would be used for future updates, so hear me out guys. See, I've put each trailer and truck into a general category. Those being transportational, liquid, and industrial. The TC83 & the container, frameless dump, flatbed and tilt deck trailers would generally go into industrial because of their higher frames and exotic looks. The T83 & tanker trailers would generally go into liquid because of their lowered frames and (for the truck specifically) more than enough power to carry all and any fluid. You'll notice that the dry van trailer does not have a truck to carry it. This is because there is no other truck OFFCIALLY AVALIBLE that differs in style and type of engine enough from the other two trucks. So what is transportational anyway? basically, it's the same as industrial but more professional and corporate looking. "So wHy CaN't You JUst pUt ThE TC83 AND tHE T83 In tRAnSpOrtaTioNaL GreYscaLe?" BECAUSE YOU JUST CAN'T. A man needs to have his trucks in order. And even if you mix and match the trucks and trailers as many times as you want, there will still be either a truck missing, or a truck "generally" improperly placed. And as they say, "3rd time's the charm!". My idea is that we seek to a newer type of truck, the perfect example to show you is the 2018 Volvo VNR Series. As displayed above, you can see sleeker, more refined possible version of the original boxy Gavril T-Series. And since BeamNG Drive can't officially release real vehicles to the game, we know it would have a design that could educate us on the history and evolution of the car/pickup/SUV/van/truck company, Gavril. But here's an even better idea. What if the truck didn't come from Gavril? Because Gavril probably takes up more than about a one third of the official cars in the game, it would be common sense to let someone else start truck manufacturing company. Even if they didn't come close to Gavril's insanely large mega-monopoly it has on the good citizens and transportation companies of BeamNG Drive. Imagine Gavril actually having a nearly worthy competitor for the first time in its life, the lore would go crazy. So to sum it all up, it would be cool to have another third and most likely final truck variant based on moderner generic trucks in the game. I hope you take this with good intentions, and enjoyed the five and a half minutes you listened to me just rambling about trucks with a rollercoaster of explanations.
I feel that with this topic, you are getting carried away here. the two brothers are sufficient right now. asking for a 3rd truck right after the game just had a major overhawl for this truck seems a bit greedy and dishonorable in my opinion. I'd say spend time with the revamped trucks especially the cab over. they cover all the basics and more.
I mean he just said at the very beginning that he doesn't mean it any greedy or unthankful... he means this for future updates
Well of course I know that the update was huge and just dropped, I just wanted to get my opinion out there in case someone else had some ideas. Just experimenting with my thoughts to see if other people agreed, but also were not expecting or even waiting for the beamNG devs to deliver. And yeah, I know my forums can get quite wordy, but I like to explain things in great detail so people can understand in order to imagine and add on to this theory.
Oh it's just how your explain this. I getcha now. Tho Volvos don't really fit the profile. I was thinking either an old mac or old peterbilt or an old ford
True, true, I was just wondering what it would look like if BeamNG added a 3rd variant. Preferably exploring a different style of semi-trucks, as in European long-nosed ones. We've all seen and know that the BeamNG devs like to include foreign vehicles too.
Maybe something like a Peterbilt 567? Or perhaps something more modern like a 579 and 567 (since the T-Series has both Highway and Vocational configs) with a 548/537 look?
