The frame of the tractor unit is way too long for some reason. It looks extremely silly with the amount of space that is in between the tractor and the trailer. The T-Series before the remake didn't have this problem. --- Post updated --- Ok with the fifth wheel moved this still is way too big. You only need about 4 in. This is coming from a trucker family btw . --- Post updated --- I think this has to do with there not being side aero. The T-Series needs side aero, and also maybe some things under the frame like a step and cables connecting them
well it is an older truck. maybe a bug or something also, for future reference, post in the troubleshooting category. looks like you are new to the forums, just a friendly reminder
it is unrealistic how there is no airflow side pieces. most if not all modern trucking firms use them and they are already included in most new trucks anyhow. plus, the image you see shows a 70s kenworth with the 5th wheel all the way back, in addition to a much smaller sleeper. normally aero cabs have the aero side pieces
The fifth wheel slides forward and back, they mentioned it in the release post. There is a switch in the cab that unlocks it, then you back up until you're at the desired length and lock it again.
it is so you can take sharp turns and back up into places with the trailer at 90 degrees relative from the truck. this is very realistic and makes trucking much easier. watch some YouTube videos on insane truck driving and you will understand. also the new t series seems to be based off of many different trucks and it could just be that the truck they designed the frame off of had a longer frame than you are used to seeing.
