Great mod, loving the attention to detail that's been given to such an ordinary car. There are a couple of annoyances I've had with the mod, the first is something that I don't think I have the skills to fix myself - the very basic trims seem to have messed up UV mapping on the dashboard, so the area in this picture loses its normal map and looks oddly smooth and undetailed: Also: As someone who uses the Vulkan renderer I noticed this car is destroying my performance. I have a 3080Ti so anything graphical shouldn't be an issue, but switching to the Octavia would drop my framerate from a decent 50-60 to the mid 10s. I decided to go through and give it an optimisation pass - converting everything to the right DDS type and downscaling some rather ridiculously sized textures (like a 4096x4096 blank normal, or 4096x4096 gauge textures when the gauges never occupy that much screen space). This has brought my frame rate back up to the 50-60 I expect, and I think these changes might help others who have complained about performance, so I was curious as to whether or not you want me to share my workings on this? I've also been working on some more realistic audio for the likes of the 1.8T engines if this is of any interest.
first: the base interior is still wip second: I have RX6700 and I5 4570 and I get easily 60 fps even on italy with hight settings This mod is hand-made by one person so expect some problems with it.
I'm not sure if you read what I put for second and third but I was specifically offering to do them myself, as I've already done it.
That's interesting, because I use Vulkan and don't have any performance issues (100+ FPS on west coast with a RTX3060), however, I do have a problem with some textures like on the dashboard, it says "Importing texture"
yeah I get this too, in vulkan the textures just take a long time to load, but I haven't experienced any performance issues apart from italy (60fps -> 30fps)
I have to say that the mod is not what i expected it to be. The framerates drop by 50% while using this mod and the interior camera is like a baby sitting behind the wheel - aka way too low and far from the steering wheel. Also the fact that most models use the petrol engines is rather dissapointing, because atleast where I live, most Octavias of this generation are diesels. I just think it is not in a state to be released to the public yet.

I think it's just a combination of the car being unoptimised and Vulkan being experimental making it a bit of a crapshoot. Everything vanilla works perfectly and smoothly for me in Vulkan but this car is one of the few things it just can't handle.
I want to report the problems I noticed, these are: On vRS models sedan and station wagon do not have all vRS disc brakes, also, the front stabilizer vRS is not on the station wagon. The air filter on the 1.9 SDI engine is stretched towards the ground.
Well, it would be nice to have the ability to put beamng official wheels on it, not just Škoda ones. When equipping 1.9SDI engine, intake seems to bug out and spike every time you move
Hello,many people are writing here about fps drops,for me i have fps drops only on some configs especially: VRS and LaurinKlement but the lag only appears when the lights are on and when the windows are broken. Also i would love to see some beater skin or rusty skin maybe a beater config
the problem is the Russian sites are banned too and VPNs doesn,t work probably (actually there is no working vpn on pc but there is some vpn on mobile but their connection is really bad) because i,m a ####ing iranian
