And please, in the first post, sort the skins by history-friendly ones (companies that can be found in the vanilla game) and all the rest, pop culture, movies, TV series, etc.
Well, a new modding challenge has been set until the end of January, and I doubt this mod will be finished in time unless you've got other entry plans.
I'm currently working on making the old T-Series skins work with the legacy mods, but every time i try to use them without this mod enabled, the textures break. Mind giving me tips?
If the legacy T-Series mod uses the same file paths as the pre-remaster T-Series, then my current T-Series skins should work without the main mod by moving the semi folder from the vehicles folder of my mod into the vehicles folder of a separate mod. I don't think the mixer upfit is skinnable, but the WIP mixer upfit will be used as a placeholder on my concrete company configs until the remastered mixer is released Because of how many T-Series skins will need to be updated in this mod, I will update the mod in phases, with probably about 10 to 20 T-Series skins per phase depending on how long they take to fix. Phase 1 will include the first set of updated T-Series skins, fixed versions of all the dryvan skins and loads, as well as any other urgent fixes that need to be made. The later phases will include the remaining T-Series skins until they're all fixed, as well as some new shipping container skins for some of the companies.
Of course, the shipping container skins being ones that already exist like Nodeoline, Okudai, etc. and perhaps a few new ones if likely. And my assumption is that some companies like Longpath will put the new cabovers to great use.
I love your dedication you have for your mods! The Shuffleboard Logistics pack is already working again. Best of luck fixing it!
Not sure if those legacy trailers will reinclude the skinnable tanker trailer to get the tanker skins working again
The Skinnable Tanker mod is broken by now. I did a bit of patchwork to get my copy working again, but it's still missing the texture and thus makes the skins look weird. --- Post updated --- Yes, it's the exact same file path for the semi, and those work perfectly. I had to do a handful of renaming to make the dryvan skins work with the legacy one (specifically, I use "dryvan_30" for everything involving the 0.30 dryvan), perhaps I need to retrieve the "common" files as well or I mistyped something in there (I'm terrible at .jbeam coding).
I know this is not your first priority but eventually, it could maybe be possible to adapt the tanker skins to the new tanker contianer? I know it's not the same as the old tanker trailer but it's probably the closest thing until the skinnable tanker mod gets updated
I still haven't managed to make my legacy-semi-compatible copy work independently from this mod. When deactivating this one, the skins of both the dryvan and the tanker break and I get the "NO TEXTURE" appearance instead. And to top it off, my JBEAM/JSON coding skills are very poor and thus I have no idea what might be the problem; I passed all the original files to the unique copy with minor file renaming, so what is it? I'll leave the .zip pack here so you can check it and hopefully fix it (you'll need all the other ones as well to make the 0.30 T-Series and related work; don't touch those):
Unfortunately, I don't have the time nor motivation to maintain a legacy version of the mod on top of already fixing a significant portion of skins in the main mod. But if anyone else wants to fix your files or make their own legacy version they're free to go ahead and do so.
So far I've adjusted the textures for the 53 foot dry van, and made the skin textures for the 28 foot dry van trailers
Ohh, I thought that was from the devs, not the mod. --- Post updated --- T-series remaster update after Devs get back?
Glad to see the repo back in action as there's some good mods coming out for the remastered T-Series.
