I checked and it held the top speed record in 1904 by reaching 147.05 km/h (91.37 mph), it's interesting how 100 years later my own car, which is a cheap econobox and has an engine 15 times smaller, manages similar performance thanks to the advancements in technology
Wow. My Eagle is (theoretically) capable of 96 MPH (without the governor), but I don't think I'll ever find out. It can supposedly accelerate from zero to sixty MPH in 14.2 seconds (zero to one-hundred kilometers in 15.2 seconds), which is debatable. The quarter mile is achieved in 19.8 seconds at 70 MPH, which is somewhat believable. As you can see, I chose a performance machine. All that with a 250ci (4.2L) I6, and you can see what a speed demon this wagon is. (I'll bet your car can beat mine in every aspect, hell, my '04 Corolla S basically destroys it.)
Well it's not that far off, it has a 75 hp 1.2L I4, but it also weighs just over 1000 kg (2200 lbs), declared 0-60 is 13,5 seconds, top speed i managed to verify is the same, 155 km/h (96 mph). Performance wise they're close but i'm ready to bet yours is much more comfortable to cruise on the highway (4000 rpm in 5th at 80 mph...)
ExxonMobil wants you to feel responsible for climate change so it doesn’t have to ‘Carbon Footprint’ Was Coined by Big Oil to Blame You for Climate Change
I have a question, Why was rear wheel steering, and all wheel steering so uncommon? did it never take off? if it did become more common would it be the industry standard today?
@combatwombat96 I don't know of anyone else to help with this, so... Damn, this makes me sound stupid, but how would I go about removing the smog devices?
On your AMC ? Oof im not sure i could point out where to start on those, but if its anything like Chrysler's of the era then it might be straight forward; First you'll want to disable the EGR, then you'll want to bypass the OSAC valve by just having the vacuum advance hose going straight into the ported vacuum source. Usually leaving the air pump will have no ill effects, unless like more space in the engine, however definitely leave the carbon canister A great place to find really helpful information (warning: info overload) is the slantsix forum https://www.slantsix.org/forum/index.php This is where i get most of my information from,
What car is that? Also, my car developed a slight misfire on my way home from work today. Already bought some new spark plugs, but I won't get to put them in until Thursday as the car is at a shop that day so they can hopefully get the cruise control to work that I tried installing. (Dunno why I even write this, it's not like anyone cares lol)
Maybe because we want some one to talk to who share similar hobbies ? Idk This very car, the irony is that you have a working engine light...
That's a very nice car, is it yours? Anyways, my check engine light came back on this morning. Seems like my LPG system doen't like the cold weather... Ah, and of course these issues start showing up right after my holidays
Unfortunately yes, its been sitting in storage in for the past two years, i dont feel like bothering with it... Ah ha, you must be grateful for having gauges or lights to warn you about the car being unhappy
Every car should have the nature of the problem displays as plain text instead of "error code" so the user can troubleshoot it easily.
