the dots could maybe be for the mirrors (ones we have on t-series), maybe they are adjusting it (maybe someone who mods can confirm this?), but there is no reflection in the mirrors, and there is a timer so that would disprove my theory. (why would they adjust the mirrors in a mission). Could maybe be some kind of sensors, as that ETK is modern.
Looking at the source post on the BeamNG.tech blog and the linked github page for their BeamNG-ROS2 bridge, it is indeed mirror markers, as 'vehicle ultrasonic left' and '...right' are mentioned, as well as LIDAR data. Programmers can then feed that data to their robot algorithms and train them to control the car based on that data.
It's possible you've read that some particular dev would be back that date... but many devs are still on holidays, and in the same way, some devs have worked during these days (that happen to be holidays in various countries). In other words, we don't synchronize and take holidays all at once
But doesn't the "There will be no mod support or mod approvals from 22nd of December until 4th of January." imply mod approvals continue after 4th? Or least thats how I read it and it's been quite few days since.
That banner only says that there will be zero mod aprovals within those dates. It doesn't claim anything about what happens before or after those dates.
This is a piss poor response, y'all can take down the date that you couldn't adhere to but are incapable of much more than that I suppose..
Damn, you made an account just to insult the devs that owe you nothing? That's some serious dedication to being an asshole.
0.32 probably we have the t-series cement truck and a new european truck brand (with some trailers). 0.28, 029 e 030 were all for off-road so new updates will add utility vehicles --- Post updated --- I think we will have the next teaser tuesday around January 10th or 17th for spoiler something about new update. The new update will be release around March 10-15th.
Some context: before mod approval can resume, we first need to do some other work (such as reviewing/strengthening the backend servers, etc). Some of the people needed for those tasks have already been forced to leave their families in the middle of their resting days, to tackle the unexpectedly large surge of player numbers during holidays (including weekends), to keep things running while the rest of people can enjoy their holidays. So while we understand that everyone really wants to download new mods, sometimes there are other priorities in life like mental health. Rest assured we're not halting mod approval for fun or greediness or anything like that. I admit our banner message was probably too optimistic in trying to estimate a range of dates (same reason we don't disclose update release dates), so we'll keep this in mind to try to improve the wording in the future. In any case, things will return to normal productivity as soon as that is possible
Ok, thanks for the update. Just be thankful this isn't the Stormworks community. The devs in that game broke the game for 1 day and got death threats with their location. Hope you guys make a full mental recovery.
Is what I said an insult? My apologies, I'm not used to speaking with children that are so easily offended. Did I say that they owe me anything? I did not; however they did give people an expectation. To put it simply, I'm tired of people being so blasé with keeping their word. Especially game developers. It's something that seems to get worse with time.
