    How does the unpainted parts system work? could it be possible to add it to the freeroam parts selector?

    This is a career-specific feature, but I could ask the team if they could add a, "do not paint" tick box on the parts selector for freeroam and have it default to some sort of primer base! I'll see what they say =)

    awesome. the ability to paint individual parts seems (emphasis on seems, im no game dev) like it would be made a lot easier with the basis that the primer system adds

    and, like the system in career mode, this would work with mods without the modder having to add support?

    I cannot say how much I would love this in under 14 words.

    Absolutely! Our ultimate vision for the parts system is to let players paint individual body parts, offering more control than a binary "paint or not" selection. We're advancing the overall development of the parts system, and while per-part painting in free-roam isn't the Career Mode's current main focus, it's a definite goal we're enthusiastic about achieving in the future. The folks I spoke to across the teams are enthusiastic for the feature though, so stay tuned! :)

    May I ask why those particular starter vehicles have been chosen and what type of player is supposed to chose what?:)


    May I also suggest that you add a more cargo worthy vehicle to that list... the Landsdale would be perfect for that.

    Or possibly a short-bed pickup? Possibly a 4x4 model since the other starter cars all represent a different drivetrain type? (Covet: FWD, 200BX: RWD, I-series: AWD)

    Thanks for the report, a lot of these challenges and missions are prototypical and will be updated/tweaked/removed as we progress and start development on the individual skills and branches for Career, for now, thank you!

    This is a feature that we are actively developing, step by step these systems will become very intuitive and fully-functional, hold tight you should like what's coming down the line!

    The three starter vehicles represent FWD/RWD/AWD driving experiences with similarly aged vehicles with similar enough performance. For players who want a more advanced RWD experience (Rear Wheel Drive) or players who want the more accessible and friendly FWD (Front Wheel Drive) experience, they can choose accordingly. For players who otherwise don't know the difference, they'll pick which ever one they want based on looks alone. The reason for only providing 3 starter vehicles is to ensure all players start the game from a similar starting point so that there can be a shared experience across our player base, rather than throwing new players into the deep end with endless choices.

    Good to know, it's great seeing the career mode come to life! However, if there was any misconception of what trim I meant, I meant something like an early basic model with 4x4, not something "Very powerful".

    PS. The ETK I-series is not as user-friendly as AWD makes it seem... I had a hard time keeping it out of the shop when delivering stuff, lol.

    And as another idea, what about an option to throw them into the deep end? Like a check box for an alternative starting selection? (With a big ol' warning after selecting this option) Similar to the Tutorial checkbox.

    Hey now, that's not a bad idea! Once we get more of the supporting systems working up to par and polished, we can visit this option. Things like insurance, car rentals, test drives, etc will need to be working well before we come back to it. Great stuff, thanks for sharing your thoughts @Musicman27 !

    since the I-series is one of the starting options in career mode, how about updating it (and the 200bx), since there both kinda outdated?

    Are you planning to add cargo in the form of trailers to the delivery mode as in ETS, such as tanks, pipes and the like. It would also be interesting to create bulky cargoes with pre-defined and fenced routes for them.
