Will look into the AI colors, but nothing I can do with everything else, not with my knowledge...at least digital clocks do work.

Guys, can you please cool down a bit please? I just went back to modding a few weeks ago and all I see is requests and more requests both here and in Discord, I already said several times that more trims are underway, including a Rally one, but no word on dates, I'm taking a bit of a break right now after DAYS of continous work on the 205 non-stop, and of course work will continue, but I think I already did quite an enormous job updating my 3 main car mods within a month, especially this, which was quite unfinished, and it seems no matter what or how quickly things are done, it seems it's never enough.

Let me please speak very clear, and for the last time about the following topics, as a recap:
    1. As said in the FAQ, which nobody seems to be bothering to read, NO.MORE.BODY.STYLES.WILL.BE.ADDED. No cabrio. No 5-Door. No Multi. No T16. No super specific custom weird version sold in Colombia in 1995 or anything like that. NOTHING. This mod is about the 3-Door version sold between 1988-1994, which also means NO PRE-1984 VERSIONS WILL BE DONE, and it's unlikely post-1994 will be done as well. Doing a cabrio for example is way more that just deleting the roof in Blender, it means doing it right. Making the extra parts only found in the cabrio. Doing a whole new body jbeam since the beams and nodes in the roof are no longer there. Means that a folding mechanism should be done to make sense out of it, and I don't even know how to do it. Means new interior parts, compatble with all the current features and already available parts and colors needs to be done. TONS of work. Same thing for the others, especially the T16, which is a totally different car altogether, just the lights, the grille, and maybe some windows could be reused. I already took the bait and tried to make the Defender 90, I have to admit I wanted it too, but then reality hit hard and noticed how big of a job that was...it got pretty far, but then noticed all the work needed in the interior, every custom interior color option needed to have a 90 version too, with a new skin system and a new UV unwrap just for it, the exterior panels never looked right...and the jbeam was still something to do, since removing the rear doors is quite a big modification jbeam-wise, it takes quite a lot to adapt the body to that and fill the void, connecting everything together. Not worth it, not for me at least. And not being able to do the proper front suspension for the 205 is quite a hit I just got this week...
    2. I also said that one of my biggest mistakes was trying to chew waaay more than I could. By the time the 205 was still being developed as a more or less functional beta, I decided starting working on yet another project, yet again for myself as the main reason, the Renault Mégane Scénic, and it was definitely a bad decision, since at one point I had to mantain 2 big mods with plently of parts and features, continue work on another mod as big as those, and then, start working on another one. Maddening stuff, and I couldn't keep up with demands, starting with the ones by myself to start with. And of course, before these 3, I already spent weeks working on other ones, such as the Europlates mod (spent lots of time searching the internet for references of needed character sets for the plates, since most were digitalized until I did so) the Jurassic Park Roamer (which I had to do from scratch at one point, when my expertise was lower than now) and of course, lots of Spanish mods content I did again for myself first of all but being such a specific niche never got much public traction, the Belasco Motor Show which never really took off either, and worst offender so far, Vice City, which was hellish to do, and I had to abandoned since it returns so many errors it's not worth repairing, just starting over, that was definitely a hard hit, and a taste of things to come...so long story short, due to all these reasons, I.WILL.NOT.MAKE.ANY.MORE.NEW.MODS, my projects are what they are, and that's it, since I, thankfully, don't make a living out of this, at least I don't have the pressure to do so in order to earn money, so since I do it for free, I don't have to listen to any requests. Some might be reasonable, like extra trims for the 205 (even though most trims are already decided so I don't think much can be done about it) but from there request only grow in number and complexity, from extra bodies (See Point 1) to whole new cars, as if they are made by AI by clicking 2 buttons or something. If it was that easy, people could do them by themselves.
    3. I also stated when I returned that the main reason I did so is since much effort and hours were spent into creating these mods, it was a shame letting them rot as the game got updated and features might get broken overtime, or new ones wouldn't simply be added, and it was quite a hard time since I still couldn't get back into it, but that thought was always over me, and took a lot to compose myself to do it, since also it meant work was needed in all mods to put them to date, including finally getting to know how the openable doors feature work, something I was never able to do before, so even if it look some of the mods didn't get much, first of all, not that much was needed, like the Defender for example. Again, it seems like 40 CONFIGS are still not enough for some, but I think it's pretty comprehensive in features and parts. Again, having all OEM rims, most, if not all, factory colors, most official OEM accesories is not enough, I don't know what will. Well, I do. The 90, the 130, then the old one, then every other Land Rover ever made, and so on...so no capitalized words for this one, but still important stuff to understand.
My friendly advise, taking into account what I just said in point 3, is enjoy and be thankful of what you have. Things can always be better, but also waaaaay worse, these mods could simply not exist, and no one might never do them, I was the one who did, so if you only focus on what you DON'T have instead of appreciating what's there, you'll never enjoy things, with the grass is always greener on the other side mindset. There is no other side, not unless someone decides to do a 205 from scratch in a professional way, and I don't think that's happening anytime soon, and seeing work taking for granted, and focusing on the next thing that probably will never be there is quite toxic, and I'm sure I speak for most modders, especially the ones who do their stuff from zero or near to that.

Sorry if I sound mean here for what I'm about to say, but please try to empathise a bit, it seems people just got used to have me back, and are forgetting how badly I got burned out before retiring for almost an entire year. And also sorry for what I'm about to say, but also please understand the core meaning of this, but I don't owe no one nothing. Of course I really appreciate the kind words, the reviews, and on top of that, the number of persons who have helped out for the last months with important contributions, making the mods better than I could have ever done by myself, and I'm sure they think alike. I asked for help many times, and those persons responded, and I will always be thankful for them, but they don't owe me nothing eiher, my mods became kinf of a community effort, which is beautiful, but everyone did their part for sheer generosity, no money involved, just wanting to help out, as simple and selfless as that. This is a FREE mod, done in my FREE time, and I started them for ME, since I fancied doing them, I just wanted people to enjoy them as well, and if they are not as complete or professionally mode as they could, well, at least I didn't kept them to myself either...I have enough self-respect to myself to proclaim they are good enough, but at the end of the day they are what they are, mesh-slaps based on copyrighted meshes, with lots of already existing jbeams from the game mixed together to work. Console will always puke dozens of errors, sometimes shortcuts and shady ways of work were used to create the desired results, and even Agent_Y said it was not fun working on them because of the lack of 'professional' standards in modding. They are just a facade, a honest, even a pretty one, but just that.

Of course, I will not even try to control what people say, it's your choice and your personal freedom, but so do I have the right to speak my mind, and from now on, especially after the harsh months I passed while retired, I will simply ignore people who don't bother reading the FAQ, since I think things are pretty clear there. Please respect what's there, what's only going to be there, and my reasons for that, it's all I'm asking for.

    Thank you.

Very well written, and very clear! Go your way knowing what´s good for you! Don´t let yourself be pushed, but I believe this danger is far off.

And most importantly: thanks for your work and dedication!

Very well said. And the main thing is that it is extremely accessible and understandable.
You deserve respect for your work and certainly owe nothing and no one.
Thank you very much for your wonderful mods! I use most of them with great pleasure. Thank you to everyone who helped in the creation of these mods.
Take care of yourself and your loved ones. :)

Do you have any plans for a Group A rally version (not the T16) like this?

Would like to mention a small bug with the race brakes on the rear, they don't stay in place like they're supposed to when you're moving.

Friendly tip: don't reply, use the ignore user button wisely, and you'll live a much better life, here on the forums. I know it's tempting to tell people requesting more and more stuff to go to hell, but it's still giving them attention. And this leads into the infinite chain reaction of them asking if you didn't agree for A, then maybe you'll do B?.

Also, I totally understand your reaction here, but I'm quite confident those who ask for others to make mods for them can't read such long texts.

Yup, that's exactly what I'm doing from now on, that was the last time I allow myself to rant like that...

Well, that should be fixed in the new update for today! :)
