Hello @JorgePinto I want to thank you for this great Peugeot 205 mod! I want to say that I love this mod and I respect you for coming back to modding and giving us such great mods. I am here since the Land Rover Defender mod, and I love seeing you getting better and better at modding
Thank you Have to say I'm not getting much better, in fact, I'm still trying to remember how I did things...but the group over at Discord is doing an excellent job, and the next update will be worthy of a 3.0 version! Another peek at what will be on it:
any idea if/when the 'Green' edition will be made? if it is, any chance there could be the uk variant of it? it was called the 'Open' here, it is literally the exact same but with a different name (its definitely not my favourite 205 special edition)
Hello, appreciate the work you've made to recreate this iconic french hot hatch. I noticed a bug, however. On the base steel wheels, their position is way off and they are also not centered when spinning.
Unsure at this point, might be, since trims/editions are definitely doable. Plently of stuff before reaching that in the pipeline though... New version is still underway, and that has been already fixed, plenty of fixes in fact. While I'm at it...another teaser, why not? --- Post updated --- Well, I shouldn't spill the beans like this but...the team effort really paid off. The underside no longer looks like...this thing: But like this: Actual 205 suspension front and back, actual exhaust, and everything in general is more accurate, not perfect, but...yeah, day and night I would say!
so does the new suspension reflect in the physics or is it purely visual? (probably a dumb question but worth asking)
Well, I shouldn't spill the beans like this but...the team effort really paid off. The underside no longer looks like...this thing: But like this! The whole suspension is simulated to a high degree.
It is a full suspension jbeam rework based off of real life peugeot 205, in short it now has: -Base model front macpherson which uses the swaybar as a part of the lower control arm, identical to real life. -GTI style suspension with triangulated lower arms and seperate anti rollbar also is simulated. -Triple torsionbar rear suspension is now simulated and fully functioning ingame, with springrates calculated off of the real life bar thicknesses, material type and lengths.
Had to ruin the main post to put a very big and red disclaimer about it, title too. The funny thing here is that if the mod for any reason featured the 5 Door instead, I would expect tons of people asking for the 3 Door since it's the most desirable body, but here we are, it turns out the 5 Door is crucial or something...some people will never be happy with what they are given, as stated, they only see what's not happening, not the tons of content already provided and yet to come...
Please don't let rude and ungrateful people get you down. There are many of us that really appreciate your efforts and whilst it would of course be great to have every possible version of a car, they aren't the ones doing the work and probably have no idea how large the task would be. This mod is amazing and the 205 was an inspired choice to start with. Keep-up the good work but do it at your own pace, not anyone else's!
It's definitely good news to see more of the little pug that could continue to evolve into a more accurate model - so I will wish nothing but the best in your efforts to continue making the 205 absolutely fan-bleeding-tastic
Even more trims to be featured in 3.0 (Again, WIP stuff, update NOT YET released!!) Thanks, that's why the next update is taking longer, I prefer to make people wait a bit longer, but experience a blast. We were tempted to release a version with the new suspension still not final but...no point on releasing half-assed stuff. 3.0 will be throughly tested and finished Thanks! We're trying to get things as right as possible, so hopefully this can be the ultimate 205 mod* *3 Door only...
