5.1 Surround Sound Tire Squeal Issue.

I noticed just today that while playing beam (in both multiplayer and in safe mode) that the tire squeal sounds do not seem to be outputting properly through my surround sound. I tested after a computer restart too and the issue persisted. From what I can understand from my testing the tire squeal sound does not come out of the rear speakers. While using the interior camera I used to be able to tell which wheel was squealing because the sound would come out of the corresponding speaker as you would expect. Today that was not working and in my other test where I faced the camera away from the vehicle (so the sound all came out of the rear speakers) there was very minimal tire sound. The last thing I checked was turning the volume for the front speakers all the way down and then facing the car into a wall and holding the throttle open. In this test there was engine sounds as well as other sounds from the game but there was no tire squeal at all. Other sounds such as crashing into things going backwards using the hood and interior camera seemed to have the sound work as normal. There seems to have been a similar issue back in 2019 that was brought up on the steam forums but there was not a resolution. I have never noticed this problem until today

 

Yes my speakers would do that as well in the interior camera, which is when I turned the volume for the front speakers down to see if any squeal sound was coming from the rear speakers at all, and then, as you said, it wasn't.
