Runescape

How many of you have played Runescape? How many of you still play?

If you answered yes, then my question to you is: Why did you play? Did you stick with it? Why did you quit? Or why do you still play?

Why did I play and stick with it?
I loved the combat system. I also had played no other game like it with other people and the leveling up system.
Why do I play?
Because 2007 goes back to when I started. It's also considered "fun" to me. If you want, add me: Wolowitz and I28

 

I used to play it but I quit a year or two ago because I didn't like the changes they were making. I had loved the quests and how there used to be so much secrecy and myst about what is coming next but I feel like they have dumbed it down and made it less unique recently, now it feels more like any other fantasy game. I liked how it used to be a semi-realistic medieval game until you reached the fantasy lands and then you would be suddenly faced by little-known dragons and magical beasts but now they have trolls and fantasy characters just walking around in the beginner areas like it's nobody's business and I think that ruined the atmosphere of the game. I guess the new combat system is OK but I liked the old system better. I really do miss the old armor looks and MIDI music though. Now that they are changing even the music I don't think it's worth it to pay 10 bucks a month for the game. Maybe I'd feel different about it if I was just starting to play it now but since I have seen and experienced what it used to be it makes me sad that they have thrown that away.

 

They brought back 2007 Runescape around February of 2013. That's the ONLY reason I still play haha. They brought GWD and Corporal Beast back into the game. The community is smaller, but yet it still has the old feel to it. I wish they would add claws/chaotics back into the game, but I'm of a minority on that.
