Hey guys so I am going to build a pc for my little brother so is a rtx 4060ti+ i7 14700k a good combo since beamng needs a better cpu and lower tier gpu due to the gpu requiring more cpu resources for higher framerates

would lean towards putting more money to say a 4070 super as it is close to 4070 ti/3090 for the cost of a 4070/3070 (msrp)
generally, you could go for i7-14700k, but its best to plan the best balance, which is user's end goal eg (80~ fps 1440p ultra+rt, traffic etc etc etc)
You need to set the ideal build goal and have secondary build options that are compatible with the ideal build in the case where your budget cannot be met or the product is OOS.
And lastly dont rush it. Always good to listen to advice but always take it with a grain of salt, as your preference or whoever will have a different end goal in mind

I think you could but I would prefer if he gets a i7-13700k if you have the budget or get a 7800x3d to maximize performance

Just because it's a CPU heavy game doesn't mean it doesn't mean you have to get a bad GPU, my laptop has a good enough CPU to at least run the game at normal graphics at 60 fps at 1080p but thanks to my utterly disgraceful GPU it can't use all of it's power and so there's a huge bottleneck between them. like the other person said I'd consider the 4070 because of it's price to performance value in most places, either way i hope it goes well and that you and your bro have a good party

we've kinda already discussed in the other topic, but I've clarified with to get the best possible build and limit fps if he wanted to do traffic/record videos. so all good here
