Is it considered stealing if i remove the virus from a russian mod and post it on the official forum

Really long title but it does the job. Here's the thing. I found a Ford Mustang mod, that was incredible, the model was amazing, the damage model was also.. good, but not best. I found it on one of those sketchy russian websites though. I know i'm not supposed to go there, but it's not against the rules. However, i don't know if it was intentional or not, it crashed your game. So, with help from my dad who's a programmer, we made the mod work. Is it considered stealing if i upload it devirusified on the official forums though?

(Edit, it also didn't have any well made cars in it, it was just the skeleton, it spawned without an engine or anything really put into it, i fixed that aswell.)

 

Uploading the mod here will probably get your account banned for several reasons; I recommend using other mod sites, they might not be secure but at least they tolerate stuff like this.

I don’t know if you get banned or not, but if you credit the author, I guess that’s not stealing. However if you do get banned, that is NOT GOOD so don’t try it until someone confirms you don’t (get banned)

Nah, i'm weird too. I also found out that the car works perfectly fine and all the setup cars that work are just hidden? But you can access them from the save and load section.
