Update Speculation thread

OT ( yes the lack of teasers does hint very much at a tech update )
is it the tire thermals ?
Or something else?
It does feel stange that not a single teaser has been shown at all,
Mind you last update was limited teasers and it came. So maybe its the same

OR it comes in june ( later then normal ? )

 

Maybe they are trying to surprise us as much as possible ?

 

We are ending February without any teasers, most likely we will have an update next month without any teasers, or at least we will have one at the last minute before the update

 

I think it's still possible to showcase any tech features if they wanted to, for example, I can easily imagine how to make a teaser for hypothetical tire thermals or scratches. I think it's more due to the fact that everything is still a heavy WIP and they are not confident the features they are working on right now are making it into the next public build. In any case, you're right, remember to be patient, something will come out eventually.

 

I think the lack of teasers doesn't mean anything in terms of it being a tech update. The team is large enough now that there are people who work on making vehicles and maps, and people who work on the technical side. Just because the tech people are busy doesn't mean the vehicle or map people will sit around twiddling their thumbs.

No, we haven't gotten a teaser for the sole fact that we haven't gotten a teaser. A teaser is just that, a teaser that the devs choose to share. There is no big Machiavellian reason why we haven't gotten one, they just haven't shared.

 

so you know how big east coast USA far lands are right? and the whole map doesn't get a whole lot of attention anymore so what if the devs added a expansion. because only west coast gets attention these days.

 

West. Coast getting updtated isn't Bad either


But i agree, it would be cool to extend East coast, and get an Actual highway

 

Agree, not saying its impossible to make teasers for tech features, but its more likely that they simply don't want to right now / are busy / don't think its worth it. Could be any number of reasons, I suppose.

I dunno if its just me but I prefer east coast over west coast.

I think that's a likely possibility, but I think they will only do that once the WCUSA expansion is done.

I also think that career mode probably won't be finished for another five or so years, because they probably will want to add career mode to most maps.

 

According to skyfall, east coast and Horochi raceway were supposed to be in the same map, in 2014, the performance was too bad, but in 2024, Italy, west coast and Johnson valley all consume more resources than these too merged together. It’s such lost potential tho… but it makes sense I always felt like it was like East Coast

Update speculation:

• Weather for the most part is missing from the game and would fit in career mode nicely. Also need for winter tires.This also could explain delays for tire thermals as cold or wet weather has an effect on tire temperature.
  
• Stambecco will likely get cargo boxes in the next update

 

The sky box is revolting

 

They both use Maine plates, and visually look very similar. I have always thought about a merge too. It would probably fit with career mode well, seeing as West Coast already has its racetrack built in.

 

Do we have new teasers about maps/cars (maybe a new car or a remaster) or props/weather?
