Update Speculation thread

It honestly wouldn’t be too difficult cuz the engine already exists for it, the ETK twin turbo V8 from the K-Series could easily work for the car. Range Rovers are also powered by BMW V8s

 

Nice idea for it to get the ETK 4.4 Twin-Turbo V8, but the typical English way is Supercharging such engines.

 

A new british luxury car brand like rolls Royce or Bentley would be cool. Something like that is still missing in the game

 

Wild speculation, what if the title of teaser (Emerging), and the hidden text (about brightening up our day), was a reference to spring, As spring symbolizes Sun and also cherry blossoms (also related to japan, which we speculate the car is from). So my speculation that update will be around 20th march (huge pinch of salt), It would also mark 3 months since last update (counterargument would be that they took break during holidays, also v0.27 was in December, and v0.28 was in April).

 

OK after my edit I can tell you it seems to be a pillerless hard top. ( unless my edit removed it without me knowing )
I really think it may be a SEC merc/6series type car.
IMO it seems like the roofline screams EURO Over JDM?
it Could be body on Frame US style ( Like Grand marshal coupe )
BUT i really think shes going to be a LOVELY Euro ( just sold my 2000 CLK ) due to issues to get
my enjoyable mazda 3 IRL. So to have a GERMAN coupe will be lovely ( Sorry K-series )


I hope with a Base i6.
Mid v8 ( and about 3/4 of them )
and a v12.

I've noticed that too, this reflection makes the door look shorter than it actually is. You can see where it ends exactly

 

Oh yeah now is see it ( hopes deleted ) unless its one of those window frames. for the glass ( meaning it may be pillarless ? ) time will tell

Nope, if you brighten the image up, the door reaches quite far back, behind the middle of the wheelbase. So nope, not a 4-door.
Not to mention that there was never such a thing as a 4-door Silvia IRL.

There was a 1.8 skyline, but skylines are rwd and awd depending on the trim.

 

Yup. That’s a pillar and right below is the door line. 100% we’re looking at a 2 door car.
I’m doubtful of it being a 200bx remaster though. Looks far too different unless they hammered down heavily on remodeling.

 

I'm guessing what we're looking at is a notchback Silvia S13-style version of the 200BX, and the original is the 180/240SX-style version.

 

There was also an unused 4 cylinder engine sound in the game files that could be used on the new car, whether it's a remastered 200BX or something new. The Aurata used the new 3 cylinder sounds, and the remastered T-Series used the new I6 diesel sounds that were in the game files, so I believe that it has to be a remastered 200BX, and it will use the new engine sounds as well. I can't find the files for the sounds anymore, maybe they were removed. I also hope either we get a new I6 engine or a rotary engine, as the 200BX only has one engine option.

What if Beam is making a whole revamp?
We got Team Offroad, what if next is Team Racing and so on?

 

Team racing will surely come when tire termals will allow racing-focused content to be fully exploited. I wonder how they will create a map for such an update.
For the time being, we'll see what this update brings

 

I'm not sure if when they said racing content they meant multiplayer, rather it's just one of the career modes, I wouldn't expect a full blown competitive racing simulator from "beamng"! But I would like it very much

 

I think its gonna be like the Bolide: new facelift model / successor model, accompanied in the release by a remaster (even if heavily remodelled or reproportioned) of the older model
