Do you have a specific reason? My map is based in Tennessee. We don’t have ski hills here

yeah, pretty much the same process with a couple extra steps. Thank you for the encouragement!!

No worries, maybe it’s a forest harvesting technique to be sustainable where you are? Thanks for the suggestion whether I implement or not.

Not sure if you’ve played the map, but I already have power lines like this going all the way across the map. The trees are much less dense and I already have a very basic off road trail following the entire strip! :)

one thing i'd like to see is an actual ending to the highway. i keep hitting the end while cruising. either a Johnson Valley style addon or a quick turn before. i really want to drive for an hour on the highway

Noted! I've heard this a couple times. Maybe just extend it with a road block at the end? like JV?
Also thought about just making a huge tunnel loop back to the other side of the map like on Utah.
Been trying to think of the best way to set up the ends of the highway.
Keep in mind, The extended part of the highway will likely be very low quality.

Yeah it’s gonna be a mesh outside, with no grass, but the tunnel is actually a good Idea, make it go back around, and like add some stuff inside the tunnel like a cave or something. But I really like driving on the forest too

Thank you! Trying to eliminate the repetitive/tiling stuff. Placing everything procedurally in Blender makes quick work of it!

Actually, there is a ski resort in Tennessee called Ober Gatlinburg. What altitude is this map located at in the lore? If it is based on the high Blue Ridge Mountains (which it looks like it might be judging by the kinds of trees), a ski area could make sense; if it is based on the lowlands a ski area wouldn't work, but a scenic chairlift for sightseeing would be a great addition, possibly attached to a touristy town inspired by Gatlinburg.

Thanks for the feedback! Elevation in my area is 400m+-. It is based on an area a couple hours drive from Gatlinburg, on the edge of a plateau. It’s not considered the Blue Ridge Mountains, but I wouldn’t call it low lands either. Gatlinburg’s ski resort could be considered a fraud lol. They don’t use real snow. Just a big tourist trap. Gatlinburg is a beautiful place, but my map is not based on that location.
I use East Coast, USA for my tree assets currently, so tree species probably won’t be super accurate. Currently oak is the only one we actually have here.

Mh. Ive seen the Highway, and i think it needs a bit of redesign. Having 1 single giant pavement is really really ugly, especially in open areas. Here is what a redesign coould look like, at exits and normal. I've provided a Few IRL examples too.
