I suspect most airliners get cancelled because it's just too much work. I'd say that's true for most planes we see on the forums, but especially airliners, given their size and the expectation of such a high level of detail and accuracy. Also, could you even imagine Jbeaming a DC-10? It's 200 feet long, and has a 170 foot wing span. Could you even imagine the amount of work that'd go into that? I would never make a plane mod in BeamNG for that exact reason. It's crazy.
mmm yes thread bump my favourite also seeing how they were last online shortly before new years, its safe to say they're either busy with something irl (likely), or something happened and they can't get onto the forums either way, BeamNG wasn't really made for planes, so i imagine this could take a long while
Yea people should look at when the last time the guy was online. Although he could technically just be working on it in private. I wouldn't necessarily say this mod is abandoned but I don't think we need to be leaving comments when there's nothing new to add. If the dude comes back, great, but I believe he probably realized he was quite a bit in over his head and decided his time would be better spent somewhere else.
I would assume so, I'm currently making a 757-200 mod and it's not easy making an entire new JBeam. Meshlaps are much easier. But of course I'm not the one making the mod. (yes it is abandoned. for now...even if i do post it, its gonna be private)
Its me or you are the guy who makes that an 12 meshlaps on modland, and also tell me when ur done with the 757
I have 2 options right now. I could remodel the 757-200 and make my own JBeam. Or I could make a 737-8 MAX and Make my own JBeam. (meshlapping still a big possibility here, I'm currently learning how to make jbeams from scratch.) The 737 has a lot more photos that I could use as references, leading to a higher quality models. JBeams are very difficult to learn so I wouldn't blame the guy making the DC10 for meshlapping.
Please make both aircraft, I love them! --- Post updated --- But if the B737-8 MAX is easier then just do it (first)
I'd pick the model where you have more reference photos, maybe you could also try to extract models from X-Plane or similar sims for reference?
Yeah man, just spend over a year and a half of hard work and dedication to make both aircraft! Like...? Do yalls just not understand how much work that is? Your comment is so nonchalant it would suggest making the largest vehicle to ever exist in BeamNG is something you can do over the course of a Saturday night.
I'm doin it over the course of a Sunday day and night. (but fr im still stuck on the jbeam part and its been 16 hours help me)
I could help, but not with JBeam. I used to make hella mods for MSFS, and I still have all of the .3ds and .obj files of the 737 I made. But as for jbeam I have almost zero clue how to do that shit. I leave it up to the more autistic people to do that.
It seems @TheEnterprisePC didn't have a single holiday in 5 months. That's more than tragic, that's called exhaustion and no sleep. (no sarcasm intended)
--- Post updated --- Like Italy needs a upgraded airport (no plane stands, ground markings and a way to small taxiway) and like a Cessna Grand Caravan as a BeamNG plane would be great to see
