There should be a SWB sedan with a different front and rear called the Miramar. It could be a 70s Skyline lookalike or something like that.
The Claria itself doesn't have an extended wheelbase and there's nothing that'd equate as a "SWB" sedan realistically. Like, I don't think it'd get any shorter than it can without it becoming a coupe, which there already is one. Also, The Signia exists with 70's Skyline cues thrown in already, and also, there's already a mod out there for the Miramar itself that you can make a C10 Skyline..
The only reason I say so is because the Miramar, with existing mods, looks late 60s, so a 70s or 80s Miramar would be nice. Maybe instead, an EVEN LONGER Claria with a pillar instead of a hardtop could be a kind of reference to the 70s Nissan President or Mazda Luce.
Has anyone ever noticed how Terribly identical The Claria look to a 1967-68 Dodge Polara? that what i thought this car was modeled after when i first saw it....the Facia Is TOOOO similar....if you look up a polara wagon it nearly indistinguishable...
Personally I don't see the resemblence. The details are similar but the overall feel is quite diffrent. This Polara looks bloated, with its rounded out lines. In Claria all the parts that would be rounded in Polara are sharp edges. Then again cars always looked same-ish. The designers follow thrends that are in fashion at the time.
I guess the Nissan Gloria wagon/van is similar to the Polara or even inspired by it. The Claria mod was based on a Gloria wagon model I'm pretty sure.
Hello, is it a long time to wait for the release of this mod? And are there any plans to make the next generation like the nissan cedric 430 with an L20E or L28E engine
I don't think there has been much progress on this modification lately. I'm really looking forward to this mod and would like to know what the situation is now.
still in the works, not really much to show for atm as I have mostly been working on other projects and new modeling techniques, which I plan to use on the Claria as well also if you checked the Claria thread LJ is working on an update adding things like USDM parts and others, so I will have to adapt those once the update is ready in the mean time I will have to fix the taillights and a few other janky areas of the 4DHT/2DHT, and also think about a design (and then model) a 4 door sedan
yeah originally I was not planning on adding any US models (which would have worked fine as Cedrics/Glorias were never sold in the US irl), but seeing as LJ has added the parts to the HT wagon it makes sense to also add them to the 4DHT/2DHT
well i like to make fictional US models so don't be too afraid to make them even if the real basis wasn't sold in the US, i'm an expert in USDM exports of real or fictional models and id say go for it and this is the beamng universe, so practically anyone can do anything like, for instance i made the diana GTZ-R sold in the US same with the miramar etc

if by a body like this you mean sedan with framed windows then yes will probably base the greenhouse on the 230 Cedric, as it is closer to the original wagon body
I'm also partial to harder lines of President versus the more rounded ones for Cedric. I also would argue the harder lines of president fit better because Claria would have been the top-of-the-line premium model for Ibishu at the time. So making it look more limo less sport sedan makes sense. Just a thought.
