Ferrari took down a bunch of mods of their cars, everyone got mad as if this wasn't going to happen sooner or later.
Yep, left outside unloved for many years! (Even the description for the Beater Covet was great! BBBC! Bring Back Beater Covet!)
With the exception of the Covet MR Turbo, Ibishu is the more boring of the two Japanese brands of BeamNG, so equipping its modern cars with CVTs is a great choice because Ibishus are great when it comes to daily in-town commuting. I absolutely agree with you, Hirochi should solely focus on Flat engines because we haven't had a Boxer brand in BeamNG and Hirochi is a great candidate for this role of ambassador. I am 50-50 about the transmission offerings though: the more basic and everyday Hirochi models can get a CVT, while the sportier models can get a DCT, like the sportier Sunburst models and the SBR4 already have. Unless, of course, the real "performance car with a CVT" niche is also filled. As for the SBR4, no, it is what it is and any change to it would be dramatic. There is another niche to be filled though: the small, cheap, FR, 4-seater Coupe with the NA 2.0, 175hp and 2.5, 210hp Flat-4 engines. It's certainly gonna be cheaper than the cheapest SBR4, so there's definitely a space for it in the Hirochi lineup.
That's why I'm talking about the CVT. The Base version of the Sunburst is absolutely appropriate for it to have a CVT, since it's just a simple and basic commuter car. On the other hand, the sportier variants of the Sunburst can have a DCT, but there's also no getting away from the fact that there's a certain IRL car maker who makes Boxers and also combines them to CVTs in its sportier models. So, in the end, the niche of the "performance car with a CVT" is to be filled in BeamNG! I'm 50-50 on this one!
