I decided, to set this thread on hold, because my final exams at school start soon and I want and need to learn. Progress will still be made, but very slowly. I will post an progress update, when the mechanical parts are finished.
Of course this mod is on hold this is the reason why I always use *****nd. Edit: I stand corrected about this
Only, to make things a little clearer fo you: Im currently working on the front suspension and the progress is there, even, when I don't update you every day. Doing things, like a suspension from scratch, is pretty difficult, if you don't know, how to make models, which have enough details, but still are optimised and have a good polyflow. Besides this, the real car uses a transverse leaf spring front suspension, which, from what I know, is not in any Beamng vehicle, so I cant just use models from vanilla cars, to speed things up. But the suspension progress went not bad, since I started on monday. The front suspension already has some significant details, to get recognized as a Trabant/ Warnhorst suspension. And when the front part is done, most of the work will be done on the mechanical parts. And for everyone complaining about this mod saying, that it won't get finished properly or stuff like that: I have no plans, why it shouldn't get finished. I still have a lot of ideas for this mod and don't want to cancel it. Thank you!
I find this reaction completely unnecessary. It's normal that people prioritize more important things, like studies, over making a mod for a video game. You may not like it, but it's not a justification for such reaction. There is a misconception that people that mod owe others something, but it's not like that at all. They are doing something for fun, in their free time, let it be so. OP good luck with your studies!
The LeGran has one in the rear independent suspension. However in the case of Trabant the leaf spring also doubles as a set of upper arms and it's a lot more curved so idk if modifying the LeGran leaf spring would be easier or harder than modelling it from scratch. Still I think it would be worth checking that model.
Yes but people get so excited over these mods only for them to be halted when they are getting good. It is getting tiring that people get hyped over a mod but then the mod creator always has some kind of studies thing school that blah blah blah. I’m tired of this shit
I chatted with @Schmitti a bit a few months back and I know that he is currently in the "Abitur", pretty much the most important tests in the German school system. It's not just school blah blah but actually something that can decide your whole future. I wouldn't want to sacrifice my future for one car mod...
I know very well Schmitti and I understand him. If you can't accept, just leave the forum or this thread.
Then he could just… work on the mod in his free time (after school time) And of course this modder lives in Germany, all these modders gotta live in Europe.
