0.32 Discussion Thread

hey can you guys post the 0.32 steam background so i can switch out the t-series background

 

I am So stocked about the update!

You just forgot to link the mirror adjustment UI to the tuning menu in career mode. We cant adjust them there jet

 

Does anyone have a rough list of broken mods? Currently cannot even get into a map. My screen is solid blue and only displays the UI. Works fine in safe mode.

Once again, why we don't have a choice to pause the update is beyond me. Not everyone has hours to tinker with finding the one mod that's broken just to play the game. I swear every update I spend several days (usually only get 30 min of free time to game between work and responsibilities) trying to make the game work.

How do I connect these?

 

The new ProDrift steering on BX is pretty nice and the drifting is pretty good and controllable from the get-go, I like this a lot. Also a good base for modders to make drift steering with an even crazier steering angle

 

(COPIED AND PASTED FROM MY REDDIT COMMENT) What’s up with the search function in the new UI. For example in the new UI if I want to search up “ecu” it won’t pop up with anything even though the old UI worked correctly. I instead have to search up “engine management” / be more specific with my searches. Another example was me looking for race coil overs. I searched up “race” and nothing popped up even though there are several parts with the word “race” in them. I was just wondering if it is a small mistake or if I am just dumb. Thanks.

I have one problem with the new UI of changing parts. It's really great and beautiful and almost perfect. The problem occurs while changing parts with sub-parts. Let me explain: for example I change the engine which leads me straight into applying the change before changing parts of said engine. Why it's a problem? It slows down the process, which could be fixed by refreshing sub categories without refreshing the car, under changed part which would allow me to change this engine and the for example long block, with applying the change only one time, instead of two.

I realised that part of the rear suspension is not correctly connected to the chassis. You can see the difference between stationary and turning here (the part where the silver coloured screws are should not move):

 

What do you mean you cannot pause the update? You can do this in steam without any problem:

Okay, I think I got you. But I think it's worth giving preference to older cars.
The problem with RAM was solved by deep cleaning of the game and changing Windows settings, thanks for the help

 

Before 0.32 it was based on the part’s normal or internal name, so I guess they just removed the internal name thing

 

The new ui is so much better that the old one, its better looking and way more optimized. also the dropdown menus are way faster
So far i am loving the new update, props to the dev team!

I just wanted to say that I love the attention to detail in this update! I was really surprised to see that the different types of wood all actually look different and do not only change in weight but also in appearance. Great update!

 

Traffic cars stop too far from the light. All these guys spawned while I was approaching on the highway and the light was red, looks like they have issues driving up to the light when they are not already moving.

Also a meta issue, the link in the first post to the up to date known issues list links the 0.31 list, couldn't find the current one either.

 

I prefer the less messy layout, and the cleaner (no colored boxes around some text, and lower contrast) style of the old one. Less distance to travel with your eyes (all text aligned on the left side), and with the mouse (load button right below the text field in the config menu).
I don't notice much difference with the loading of the drop down menus, but I have a fairly beefy pc. It might be a more noticeable difference on less powerful hardware.
So far the only reason I can see for it to replace the old UI is that it is more responsive (on less powerful hardware).

For me, that is not enough to accept the downsides.
Then again, maybe I am old and have gotten used to it
