    Hi and thanks for using the mod! A coulple things to try:
    • install the latest version of RaceLink (v0.4.1-alpha) and the mod (v0.4.2-alpha - I tested it with BeamNG 0.32 and havent noticed any issues.)
    • in the RaceLink settings tab, double-check that your Beam User Dir setting is updated for the new 0.32 folder.
    Let me know if that works? If not, we will go from there.

    I Installed the new Version and checked that the user directory is the right one, it sadly didn't fix my Issue :(
    What would you need to know to help? I uploaded the RallyStage, maybe you can generate the voicelines? That would at least restrict where it goes wrong.

    OK - I got it working. In one of the recent releases there was a change how of the pacenote text is saved.

    Here's how to update to the latest changes:
    1 - open your stage in Rally Editor
    2 - Click these two buttons: "Refresh Distance Calls" and "Refresh Punctuation"
    3 - Save the stage in Rally Editor

    This should update your notebook file to the latest format. Then RaceLink should pick up the changes.

    That sadly didn't work for me. I tried changing the Punctuation and it changed them in the File, but Racelink doesn't seem to pick it up.

    For reference, we figured out the issue over Discord.

    Even though his game was reporting having v0.4.2-alpha of the mod installed, from the mods repo, the code seemed to be outdated, which we could confirm by how the Rally Editor UI looked.

    I installed from the mods repo and it was OK, but that didn't work for him.

    Instead, we uninstalled the mod, then reinstalled using the aipacenotes.zip file from the github page, and then followed the steps in my last post above. And we got it working!

    Bonjour! Ceci vient de Google Translate car je ne parle pas français.
    Actuellement toutes les notes sont en anglais, donc si vous souhaitez utiliser le français, il nous suffit de les traduire. Nous ne devrions pas avoir besoin de modifier la position des notes, etc.
    Si vous voulez essayer de traduire, je vous enverrai un tableur, puis je mettrai les notes en français dans le mod.
    À l’avenir, cela pourra être plus automatique !

    Merci de votre réponse. Oui je veux bien me charger de les traduire correctement en Français pour les intégrer. Pour les notes déjà existantes dans votre mod, où puis-je trouver un fichier texte avec ces dernières indiquées pour que je puisse les traduire et écrase celles en anglais ?

    Hello, I have installed your mod (it is amaizing! THX : ) all three stages work perfectly. Now I would like to make my own stage. So I installed the last version of Racelink and put the aipacenotes.zip to the user beamng folder. When I run the Racelink, I can't see any maps in the menu just an icon is still rotating. Next problem is in track editor --> Mission editor window, there aren't Race Tool tab and Rally Editor tab. I followed youtube tutorial video, but I hit this basic problems : ( Please, Do you have any idea where could be a problem?

    Is there a way to use audio files instead of text-to-speech for the pacenotes ? I'd like to try adapting some rbr codrivers

    Hello, I tried this on @Track Broseff 's Rally Italia 1986 stages (the competition update on his Discord), it works brilliantly, thank you! Now that we have lot of stage notes, maybe we can try to translate to German again? What would it take to do that?

    2) I downloaded the version 0.5.4. from your github because I was curious about the results-text, but is his encrypted? upload_2024-6-23_11-52-32.png upload_2024-6-23_11-52-32.png

    Also a debug window shows while driving, maybe you forgot to remove it?

    Oops! I will remove the debug window and push update v0.5.5.

    I'll let you in on the secret: it's not encrypted, just base64 encoded. I wanted to try adding a very basic layer of hiding the data since it is being submitted for competition. You can use online base64 decoders to view the data (the part below the --- line). You might also need to use an online json formatter as well. I'm not sure if it's better to hide the data or not ... what do you think?

    For the purpose of recording data of multiple consecutive tries maybe it´s better to have results files that are numbered and dated ("result"..map..race..date..time). Or is already everything included in there (all the stages you´ve done), I couldn´t check right now?
    Hiding it is a good thing anyway.

    Good suggestions -- I uploaded a new release: https://github.com/alexebird/beamng-aipacenotes-mod/releases/tag/v0.5.5-alpha

    The filename has the level id, mission id, date and time. The file contents are no longer base64 encoded, but there is still a hidden tampering check.

    Each file contains one single stage attempt. Each attempt will generate a new file.

    The filename doesnt actually matter. It's just for your reference, so for example you can rename it if you want to record a certain detail.

    - did I reset, and how often
    - what is my credit-card number (just joking :) )

    Oh yeah!!! I'll add that info! great idea. i was also thinking of adding the vehicle odometer. No credit card required!

    Also I think I'll add a couple extra lines for the most important info, so people can easily see it.
