I'm very happy with the BX remaster! It's a joy to drive and looks nice c: --- Post updated --- 1024px mirrors look good on my 1440p display, but I hate how the middle mirror looks. It's scaled way down so at 1024 setting it's actually running at 128px and that looks horrible. Even worse at lower settings. Please change it. It would be amazing if mirrors had proper PBR materials(at the moment materials look way different in them) and actually rendered water too. That would be a very meaningful upgrade to their visuals. Tbh I don't understand why devs aren't providing some more options for people with higher end HW. Unstable shadows and AO are the main eyesores for me. There's already a mod that ups the shadow resolution. Why isn't that a vanilla option? Higher end settings wouldn't make the game run worse for low end hardware since existing low/med/high options could be kept the same. Lack of anti aliasing is bad too, but I understand devs deciding to wait for Vulkan to be stable before implementing TAA in its various forms and motion vectors needed for it to work in the first place. AO improvement could also be behind lack of TAA to denoise it...
Great addition and clarification of innermost desires and fears about future updates) waiting with fingers crossed.
I'm also suffering from this issue. I would like to know if it is intentional or if it's something that will be patched. Looking forward to developer response!
I don't see anything wrong with this... businesses aren't only allowed to deliver stuff in the area they're located in, are they?
[BUG] Camera settings from Photo Mode will stay applied when going back to gameplay, even after restarting the game (Depth of Field only)
My career mode randomly gave out this error and won't load anymore, even with the vanilla game with no mods
first of all thanks for this update, the old coupe really needed an overhaul and it turned out great! also like the mirror settings and overall improved quality but... as mentioned in various posts before, the new UI... takes getting used to. I prefer the old UI, was easier to find parts, feel like there was no need to change that imho. Was that supposed to happen? btw the tailgate on the ETK-800 series doesn't seem to have hinges: also getting random crashes when I want to switch from Garage to Freeroam, it just doesn't want to and I have to restart the game
Always a great day when BeamNG has an update and for me personally 0.32 did not disappoint. Really appreciate all the work that the BeamNG Devs and others associated with this fantastic Sim do, as it gives great enjoyment to the free time that I have. Look forward to all future updates So much to do, so much to see....only in BeamNG
I am super excited for this update, but they said it was supposed to be released on the 16th (2 days ago) and still nothing!
in replay, i start the replay, then switch to walking mode, then end the recording, but even if switched to a vehicle, the walking model is gone while moving.
Few things I noticed so far: The main grid of the navigation app is no longer centred: In the new parts UI, saving a config will always generate a thumbnail regardless of if the slider is on or off The parts themselves seem to be spaced a bit too far apart in the list (and thus as mentioned beforehand, adding lines between the items would help with readability); pardon the MS Paint mockup The main menu seems to be "under" the garage menu, and nothing on it is selectable (the only way to exit is to close the game via the window X/taskbar X/task manager, or test the loaded config) There's a typo in the 200BX GTz and Diana GTz config descriptions ("differantial"), and the AWD police Bastion description feels incomplete (Again, better late than never, I'm telling myself as I type this up.) Also, if I may add feedback on a few QoL-related things: The orbit camera "look back" binding does not work with the chase camera for some reason. I'm aware that "rotating" the camera down can turn it 180 degrees, but I don't have the right stick on my gamepad bound to the camera, nor do I want to bind a random button to the "look down" control. The vehicle debug options present in the "old"/current parts menu are absent in the new menu. Can we expect to see an update to the Showroom Thumbnail Generator utility that allows for specific configs' thumbnails to be generated, instead of a whole vehicle line? New vanilla configs are always good, but generating thumbnails for one or two custom configs can get tedious fast for vehicles like the Covet, BX, T-Series, and especially D-Series, particularly since a) I don't know how the generation order is determined so I can generate my custom thumbnails and then cancel the rest, and b) thumbnails for simplified traffic configs, in addition to the playable ones, are also generated. Is there any Beam-specific documentation for SVG-based UI apps (such as Tacho2)?
Testing the new vehicle customization UI a little, I noticed that it is now possible to search for the name of the wheel you want (an excellent addition),But there is a bug in this, whenever I search for a name by typing the first letter I cannot type the next one, having to click again in the search space every time I type a letter
