(Hello! You might have seen the old thread of this mod in the air section, but we decided to move it over to the Content Creation section!)
    Original owner: @DankEngihn
    Link: https://www.beamng.com/threads/tupolev-tu-154.32218/

The Tupolev-154 is a Soviet commercial airliner, now soon to be in BeamNG with the efforts from @jgb and Me! This mod is still in the early WIP stage, but we will release the Early Access version on Kofi once the plane achieves its Maiden Flight.
We will update the progress of development in this thread with screenshots; please suggest anything you think will be suitable for the plane.

A Remote-Controlled Prototype made from the Balsawood Glider by @Mr. Stanley Dudek will be ready on the repository very soon. I have the permission to use it.

Yeah, this is the one he was "Working on". To be fair, he did find the model,(i think) but he didn't even look up reference pictures before changing some of the stuff

I don't think he did the model, pretty sure he asked someone who made the model if they could use it

Maybe change the name so we can have the first repo airliner for BeamNG!

We thought about it, making it "lore friendly", but figured people wouldn't care much more whether we do that or not, and the model isnt lore friendly, so we figure why change the name

Why would a German company (BeamNG) respond to a copyright inquiry from a company on EU sanctions list?
In fact they could be in trouble if they accept the request or cooperate with a Russian based sanctioned company in any way.
Also Russia stopped respect West copyright and openly advocates for piracy.

It would be a different story if the aircraft in question was made by Boeing or Airbus

I talked with the creator of the MPV-80 (Cargo Ship mod) about the Jbeam issues and... Let the picture do the talking for me.

    Nah that's crazy
But if there are really multiple nodes in a place where only 1 should be it's an easy fix - determine all node names (ctrl+n) and use Notepad to replace them all with a single one.
Don't forget to make a backup, obviously :D

its showing what the issue was, the jbeamer (i think its jgb) ****** the jbeam by making a new node at the same spot for new triangles instead of connecting to old nodes

this isn't an "issue", for most purposes, this is me creating the break groups, or breaking points on the plane. the duplicated ones mark the seam where the plane will break, which throws errors, because of "duplicated nodes" and "zero length beams". but this is not actually an issue, it was causing some of the shaking the plane was dealing with, but i turned off self collision and it is tons better now. if i were to use the "old" nodes, for beams and faces, the plane wouldnt be able to break apart without causing holes in parts that arent broken, and would cause issues of broken parts phasing through the ground, because they wouldnt have all the necessary nodes.

If anyone is interested, here is a link to another video, with the newer jbeam and wings showing controls. The flaps are used, because im an idiot, and in the video you can very much see the shaking that the duplicated nodes were causing. I will be redoing the elevators, ailerons, and possibly the rudder to also help with reducing the deformation you can see on the tail. the current version also has higher durability/stiffness from what you see in the video, so some of the bending is reduced, and it no longer flattens on even a smooth landing lol.

Thats, why i tried to eliminate as much of the shaking as i could. Anyways, here is a new video, the actual plane is a bit more durable now than it was in the video, this was an earlier test.
