BeamNG music cassette?

I was listening to some Gabester music when I had an idea to make a BeamNG music cassette tape with Gabester and Mark Knight music on it. I recorded the 2 most recognisable Gabester tracks (a.k.a the BeamNG trailer music) and dropped in Ramblings by Gabester too. Should I sell this?

@gabester can you do something about this? The original poster appears to be violating copyright laws.

 

He hasn't broken any copyright laws. Making a mixtape for private use is legal, however it isn't if its sold for commercial use.

 

However, they have intent to sell for monetary gain. Which, I'm assuming, is not legal

To be fair, selling someone else's music is illegal, but holy crap! Tell him it is illegal INSTEAD of insta-banning him because he asked.

why sell them? These tracks can be freely listened to on YouTube and it is also not legal for obvious reasons.

 

Legality aside, I don't think the market for fairly unknown artists' songs on a obsolete recording format is going to be very big...

Anyone who's ever had a car with a cassette player will know how garbage cassettes are

 

Cassettes? Garbage? Just get a decent headunit man, I had an Alpine TDA 7556R and that thing was a masterpiece, cassettes were crystal clear.

 

But obsolete media is fun!
Sure, cassettes are not the most convenient/premium way to listen but they got physicality and character, nothing beats some obscure punk tape being pumped out on the most garbage hifi you got. In my opinion sometimes enjoying music isn't about perfection.

As for selling tapes with Gabester's music, everything on their SoundCloud is licensed under Creative Commons which doesn't allow for commercialization, but it doesn't stop you from making a cool mixtape for yourself! I'm sure you could make a mix and put on a cool orange tape with some custom labels.

 

So I didn't think about that and the whole copyright thing is true and I didn't consider that either...

I actually made one just to physically see what I think it would look like in real life and I FLIPPIN LOVE CASSETTES so I thought it would be a fun Etsy-type project but obviously without Gabester's permission it would be illegal to sell it anywhere. Who knows though, might as well try to get permission at some point.
