Hello, I´m kind of finished with the AI roads - at least in a state where it is good enough for "public testing". The zip is packed in a way so you can put it just in your repo folder like a mod, alternatively you extract "all_roads.prefab.json" to levels/kazach_desert/art/prefabs (extract the zip at level "0.31"). I hope it works because I heard there is a prefab-bug, but hopefully not here. How to install then (sorry that´s a little complicated but better than having to download the map again): on the map Kasach desert, hit F11 for world editor. Open window-->asset browser: find "all_roads.prefab.json" and right click --> spawn prefab at origin (The next step is only necessary if you want to save the AI Roads to the level: Open window -- scene tree: usually at the bottom you should now see the prefab "all_roads" --> right click and unpack prefab ) That´s it. Close the world editor with F11 and hit "ctrl+L" to reload lua. The AI roads should now appear on the UI mini-map, and AI cars will now follow the AI paths. Test it and if you are satisfied, you can hit F11 again and make just "Save level". Then the AI roads are in the map permanently. I have noticed that the roads show on the UI mini-map and on the beamNG navigator, but sometimes not on the car's built in navigation screens, but I have no idea why this is. If someone can help out here I´d be thankful ( I suspect that all the text from the prefab has to be put in some kind of map-info). So now have fun! I had creating this bit by bit!
I have also created 2 time-trials, one on the highway, the other a loop for car-testing. Here you can see if your Skoda 742s or Moscvich 407 can make it to the finish. Just put the zip into the mod folder or extract. @HansEberhart : feel free to include it to you map if you wish so.
Hey Leo, I'm back from vacation and already added your AI roads. They work really nicely. Especially love how you let the cars turn at the end of the Highway! Great work! How long did it take you if I might ask?
Sorry for bumping, but this looks like a beautiful map! I love Kyrgyzstan and I'm planning on travelling there one day, so I'm trying this map out soon!
