Multiplayer being released with a game would have a greater appeal if there were structured objectives and competitive scenarios in place alongside Freeroam. On the techie side, BeamNG’s damage model needing synced probably makes it a nightmare and a half to deal with. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s still in the highly experimental phase while the game grows.
I'm not acquainted, but from perusing Google Maps I-94 looks pretty much like what I've described. To be clear, I assumed you were talking more about a rural stretch of interstate. All Interstate highways will get a lot more dense as they approach major cities, like Minneapolis.
There was an "American Circuit" spotted in BeamNG.tech a few years ago, that'd be neat if they released it but it looks like barely anything from the tech version goes into the game version...
It was the IRL Circuit Of The Americas, and it wasn't BeamNG.tech, it was a dev build where it was used to test the car's handling
Yeah, I think someone said in a video (I think Skyfall said it) that they start a lot of stuff, but most of it either exceeds the minimum spec requirement or doesn't meet their quality standards.
I noticed the highway is indeed a 2 lane both ways highway, but the on and off-ramps lead into another highway, I think this actually a T intersection on a highway where they need a 2 lane highway to smoothly merge into another highway. The main highway may look like a 3-lane highway, but it is in fact a 2-lane highway with other highway 2 lanes merging into it. However these could easily make the highway 3 lanes or more, there is not enough highway to tell if those onramp lanes merge into the 2 lane highway or not. For all we know it could be a 4-lane highway . However, due to the fact that the incoming traffic appears to be coming from a 2-lane highway, I think the main highway is either a 2 or 3-lane highway. Hopefully, this is part of a new map nonetheless. Edit: There also seems to be an intersection off in the distance, but this image is too low quality to determine if it is connected to the highway, or if it is placed there for later use or testing. Further off in the distance there also seems to be some sort of road section (maybe decals) and a prop that looks like a concrete (or other type of) barrier.
I was looking at the stock car files and in the 800 series I found these suspension files: they are there before 0.32.1 in 0.32.2 they are no longer there, and they are “deliberately” broken in order not to be displayed in slots
Something suspicious is happening behind closed doors... Almost no Beamng team members have replied in the last week when they used to reply almost daily! And this too boot and that highway Beam.Tech image. I'm not sure what's going on but either something really good is happening, or something really bad...
