Some of you may remember the old West Coast USA night lighting mod. I personally had a lot of memories with it. Unfortunately, It's been abandoned and is now sorely outdated. Cue to me 2 weeks ago, who wanted to make a movie scene at night, but it just felt... wrong. Traffic was lively, yes, but without the street lights it felt downright apocalyptic. So I decided to try to recreate it! I decided to go further than the original though, by lighting everything from the bridge to the road signs to even the radio towers! Luckily for me, this Isn't my first rodeo when it comes to map lighting. I had lit up modded maps before, and I had learned some new tricks. As of now, the freeway and parts of the road system opposite the city is lit up. As for those new tricks I mentioned? Well I'm a sucker for detail so I found a way to make the street lights *actually glow*, as well as how to create more! As for a release date, I have no clue. I'm trying to find a job so that takes priority. This will be my very first mod when it is completed. Feedback would be appreciated immensely! For now though, have some teasers as to what it looks like with traffic!
Thank you so much, could you make the buildings brighter during the night and work with a low LOD bias. I will use this in a video when this releases!
That's model editing unfortunately and I'm not sure how to do that. However, I have a few ideas on how to make the buildings brighter (although i need to test it).

That is what I plan on doing! Also there is a east coast USA with dynamic lights and you don't have a separate map and its really good.
I actually wanted to make this for ECUSA too, but the streetlight models are funky. Cant make them glow using my usual method, so that's not in the cards until I learn how to edit models.
the lights look very cool i wish the devs would add lights to that map because its so boring and dark with out the streetlights
