@vam So you're right, says here there is no ESC + TC option, however there is ESC + LC, and I'm wondering what LC is. Do you know perhaps?

@someguy5738 is launch control allowed in the 2023 regulations?

As quoted in the 2023 regs:
"Designs which allow specific points along the accelerator pedal travel range to be identified by the driver or assist him to hold a position are not permitted." In other words, no launch control :(
So no, it seems the best option is to go with ESC and let me handle the rest ;)

    cool
Oh yeah, by the way, nothing to add, just checking, did you set the floor to "Downforce"? I... think you can do that within the regulations
    --- Post updated ---
Also says front and rear suspension is "double wishbone only"

the car had pushrods, so ill update it to have double wishbones, also what do you mean by the floor? if you mean the undertray, the closest thing i see to "downforce" is race diffuser, which was already selected

yeah the undertray, in the video i'm watching (still the one at the top) there's "none", "offroad skidtray", "semi-clad", "fully clad" and "downforce"

Alright, so checking thru everything else, two last little niggles:

    - I just found out that you can actually find out the car's wheelbase dimensions, in the Model Body section. Does the game allow you to, like, stretch the wheels back and forth along the body (aka adjust the wheelbase once you've selected it)? If not, that's good, and can you tell me the wheelbase dimensions of the car (you'll find it if you hover your mouse over a model body)? Because there is a rule saying there must be 3150mm maximum wheelbase. Shorter than that is good.
    - The gears themselves must be made of steel, and the alloy casing and bellhousing can only be made out of aluminium or magnesium.

Other than that... You're all good! I've looked through the regulations and your car seems to fit most of 'em. The other stuff is not that important (I mean, how are we gonna measure the volume of legroom for the cockpit???), so in terms of functional stuff the car is good to go!

the wheelbase is 2870 mm's, and about the gears, im not sure if there is a way to check or change the material of the transmission, but it shouldnt change anything, but anyways, since im pretty sure ive checked everything now, thanks so much for all the help with the car! i really do appreciate it. have fun driving it!

Alrighty then. Seems everything is good to go. I'll give ya the green light, and you can finally rest. Don't worry, I won't hassle you anymore. Thanks for listening to my feedback! This car is now, in my opinion, the best and most realistic Automation Le Mans Hypercar mod out there, up there with fillman's (but even I think he didn't read the full regulations - when he made the Super GT Sunburst, he took the GT500 rules instead of the GT300, and he read them from a Wikipedia page, instead of the actual PDF ;)) I hope you have a good rest of the day!

wow, quite funny how he used the gt300 rules for a gt500 car, they are quite different from what ive seen since i just made a gt500 and gt300 car using their respective regulations, anyways i hope you have a good rest of the day aswell!

lol, it actually was the other way around, the Subaru he based it off was an Impreza GT300 - the CISCO Impreza from 2007. In his video he showed that he was taking the rules of GT500 instead, from the regulations page of the Super GT series on Wikipedia. It was kinda ironic, but funny lol :D

    ...

    ... *lip smack*

... Well, this is very unfortunate.

Firstly, I have to apologize. I thought I had all the things pinned down. I had updated the mod just as it had released. Loaded in Watkins Glen (it's the least FPS taxing racetrack I have in my BeamNG track list), checked the stats of your car out and... uh, well... umm... I found... more issues. Sorry. Would you mind if I tell you them, or are you just done with working on the car? Don't worry, upon finding these flaws, I groaned (like you probably did upon reading this message) and went onto YouTube to watch an up-to-date video of Automation gameplay to find EVERYTHING that you could modify in the game to ensure this never happens again. From that, I found 6 things:

    • The differential can only be a mechanical or viscous LSD (it can only be viscous "provided that no control is possible when the car is running." I assume this means no control over the differential, which you have to do anyways in Automation, so it's good). It can't be an electric LSD like you implemented.
    • The car weighs 975 kg. Apparently there's a minimum weight restriction on LMHs, of 1030 kg. I heavily advise not to change the chassis from carbon fibre to some other material, because carbon fibre monocoques are actually used in some LMHs. The Toyota GR010, however, does run on a half-carbon fibre chassis, so there's that option as well.
    • You can also use ballast to achieve the minimum weight restriction, if you're having trouble reaching it. I'm not sure if you can do this in Automation.
    • In the info description, it says the car has 661 bhp. Was this an error of the Automation exporting process? If not, you may need to re-tune your engine so that it's 670 hp again.
    • The rims must be made from homogenous alloy (in Automation, that's simply the "Alloy" option).
    • The brakes must have a maximum of six brake pistons (which is the limit in Automation anyways) and a maximum outside diameter of 381mm. Carbon ceramic brakes are allowed.
    • (Not really a tweak, but just reassuring) Did you still keep the undertray as "Race Diffuser"? Because that's perfectly legal and realistic. It also says that the rear diffuser's design can be free, so you can do whatever you want with the diffuser lol
    • (Also just checking) Four-wheel steering is forbidden, and power steering systems are allowed.
And after all that... NOTHING. ACTUALLY, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE NEEDS TO BE CHANGED. ZERO. ZILCH. I can actually, fully, definitively say that you have COMPLETELY satisfied the regulations, excluding:

    - The engine (but it's pointless, since it's still going to produce 670 hp even if you follow the correct material requirements, and besides, that V6 scream sounds gorgeous)
    - Other unnecessary stuff (including electricals, which you can't really do in Automation, cockpit stuff (access, driver room volume, etc.) since I feel you might not be willing to remake the interior)

Once again, I am sorry. Please forgive me, and do your best to at least make this one last update. Pretty please? I'm sorry. I promise not to bother you again. For real this time.

its alright, dont worry! im fine with whatever you have to tell me. like i said, i wanted to make the car as accurate as i can, so im perfectly fine with updating it.
    --- Post updated ---
k, so i finished everything you told me to fix, but ill just go over them real quick to make sure:
the differential is now a viscous LSD
the car weighs 1030 kg exactly
the car has 670.5 horsepower in automation, so thats definitely an exporting glitch
    the rims are now alloy
the brakes are carbon ceramic, 6 piston in the front, 4 in the rear and should be 381mm, or 15 inches as it says in automation.
race diffuser undertray is still selected
i dont think 4 wheel steering is an option in automation, so it shouldnt be on the car
the car now has hydraulic r&p instead of manual r&p, and im pretty sure it says hydraulic is allowed
and im pretty bad at interiors, so i cant really add any of the things you said, as much as i wish i could

once you say that everything on this list is correct, ill release the update! (and let me know if anything is wrong)

Yep! Everything is absolutely correct, and I'll tell you the facts right now, I actually CANNOT find ANYTHING ELSE in the regulations that this car violates. I triple checked all the articles, and everything is in line with the regs. Thank you so much for giving me another chance, and I promise, this is the definitive, final update I will deliver. Thank you so much again! :D
