The second installment of my video series of talking cars. This sure was more ambitious, given its bigger "cast" of ElevenLabs voices and this time, myself (as the "bad guy" at the beginning). Though, as I've not get too much practice in SPEAKING English, I still ended up doing a fair amount of cutting, splicing and editing to my voice recordings to make them somewhat acceptable. As a result, my lines might sound even more "synthetic" than the ones generated on ElevenLabs, but for real, that's the tradeoff I'll take over having every character voiced by an AI. The AI has the downside of having to generate dozens of clips per line to get the kind of tone you're looking for. I finally found the kind of YouTuber that I was talking about (Crash Frontier) when coming up with a machinima series of mine. Or should I say a team, as the channel has quite a cast providing the voices, not to mention a kind of style far beyond my skills. Nevertheless, I aim for more down-to-earth storylines with a bit of humor and even satire between the kind of scenarios you can make in BeamNG. Kinda like how the previous video had a commentary about having to get a license from a car manufacturer to have their car in a game. Also, this newer version of the Jump Arena definitely deserved a video where it’s completed by sound effects of a crowd and a sportscaster speaking by a huge PA system. The more I looked into it while making the video, the more fascinated I’ve been by this masterpiece of MysteryManGER (who’s credited as the author).
