Traded the Ford Maverick towards a new Hyundai Santa Cruz. Needed something that could tow more than 2k lbs. The Hyundai can tow 5k lbs. Here's the traded in Ford Maverick.
The Santa Cruz is awfully cute, and you did make a good choice in going with Ford. Personally, and this is just me, I would've went with: Just because there's tons of em and you can get em for like $5,000 and they'll run incredibly well. Yes it doesn't have all of the bells and whistles but if you're towing or you're doing a lot of manual labor these are a lot better than really any modern truck (save for a few). But the Ford Maverick is still a lot better than the Hyundai.
Every car is getting bigger. Just look at the size difference between these two Hondas when they're right up against eachother. And that "new" Civic is still advertised and billed as a "small" car. It's insane, but it's mostly because of safety concerns and just the fact that on average people have been getting more rotund but also taller in size with time.
The accord went from a compact to a mid-size, the late 90s accords are the same size as current civics
Give or take. The 98 Accord is pretty big, but Accords aren't the same as Civics. In the 2000s the Accord became the entry level "luxury" car from Honda. Civic stayed the small econo car. The fact that current Civics are now just about the size of Accords from the 90s is a major issue. It kinda ruins the point of buying a Civic. I hate cars that are that big, it's stupid. My Accord feels absolutely massive and it's still considerably smaller than the newest Accord.
My dad has a 9th gen, I’ve sat in a 10th gen, and the difference in wideness and luxury is considerable. The 10th gen accord is more like the width of a Toyota alvalon
It's a ute. --- Post updated --- Nope, cars just get bigger. A modern b-seg is the same size as an 90s c-seg, which is the same size as a 60s d-seg.
UTE's are interesting. Wish we got more in the states. I've always wanted a truck but I don't think anyone would approve of a dude wearing a crop top hopping out of a lifted Ford F-150. I just need a El Camino or some other liberal looking UTE.
I thought it was an abbreviation for somethin honestly. I've always thought that. I saw it capitalized once and ran with it. I'm American, after all, I haven't even seen a true ute outside of car museums save for my old neighbor's Camino (but that's hardly applicable because it's not really used for ute purposes anymore)
Like a liberal looking UTE. You know, like something you'd find parked outside of a vegan cat cafe in Boston or Seattle, you know? I couldn't get away with a lifted GMC Sierra with a blue lives matter sticker on the back I'd need to get something with a smaller form factor.
A lot of the new utes are only sold in South America AFAIK, like the Fiat Strada, the RAM 1000 and the Chevy Montana. But I don't think even a twink would look out of place in a Honda Ridgeline, a Maverick, or the aforementioned Santa Cruz. (*with or without the Blue Lives Matter sticker. Nothing wrong with supporting the cops, right?)
What Saab is that? And, also, what is Saab, exactly? Because this looks like an Acura TLX or a Honda CL7. Is it a Honda subsidiary? It's confusing because Saab also made a car that looked just like the 09 Subaru Impreza Outback. That is a pretty car tho. --- Post updated --- The Fiat Strada is hot. The Honda Ridgeline is pretty cool too. That used to be a truck here in the states and it was a pretty good truck. Never really compared to Toyota Trucks tho.
