if only there was a way to do it with older cars, I would gladly config pack the Covets for you, its the main reason I dont use them, due to how much room they take up in the car select screen (I know that sounds really dumb but everyone has that one wierd thing)
While I do think that's a cool idea, It was never planned as I'm going for more of a GT/sports car type of vehicle. The body type this has doesn't have a body for an SUV meaning I'd need to make a new vehicle from the ground up to have an SUV version which wouldn't make much sense. Now a shooting brake version is possible though I don't know if I'll be able to make it as it would likely be very complex. The convertible version that I have planned should be easy to make though so it will likely be made. that's all I have planned for body styles
Then i have some questions; Will there be a rally/race/baja version? Will it receive another facelift? Do you plan on making the steering wheel turn? Do you need any further help? (PM)
I have planned for a race and rally version, though I haven't considered a baja version. A facelift is planed for the 2015-2020 model year. I don't know if I will considering my current lack of skill in that area, but it is something that I really want to do
I've finally gotten the Tempesta to a state where I feel it is polished just enough for a very early release. It is still rough around the edges with the rear end and the interior not being complete along with many stretched textures. This will not represent the final state of the mod in any way. Also I do realize that despite this being a USDM variant, it has oval sealed beam fixed headlights which I don't think were ever a thing here. I believe the next best thing I can do is square sealed beams which would be allowed here in 1975. Even with the car being unfinished, it is still the most detailed vehicle I've ever made. There might be a bit of a roadblock towards the end of this variants development which will be of all things the badging. There used to be a workshop mod for automation that had badges from the auto manufacturers in beamng however that has been outdated for quite some time now. I might need to actually learn some basic skills in blender to get this done as making a Civetta badge out of automation fixtures is probably not going to turn out well. For those wondering about the front engine, 4 seater version of the Tempesta, it will definitely be done and I have plans to use the V8's from the Tempesta as well as a V12 that will be shared with a special edition of the Tempesta (though it will be detuned for the FR configs). It's planned name will be the Tuono. Feedback on the Tempesta would be greatly appreciated.
Figured that the USDM bumper was too ugly, so I remade it in a rather unconventional way. It's based on the early solution to the Countach's bumper height problem that was solved by putting a small wing on the front of the car that was some how considered a bumper. Another Countach inspired touch is the new indicator/parking light. I also changed the two small vents at the bottom of the grille to be one large grille to look more like the De Tomaso Pantera and added another side vent bellow the one that was already there. Since the front splitter was flat, I made it slope up a little to look more realistic. The rear is closer to being finished with an added place between the exhaust for venting hot air out of the engine bay. I didn't like the interior pillars so they are being remade which will set other progress back by a bit
Well it saddens me to say this, but I think I'm going to stop working on this for now and possibly forever. The scope of this project I have come to realize is larger than I thought. There is no way I can do this in a timely manner with the life I have, and I will only have less time in the future to work on this. While I loved doing this, It honestly felt like a chore towards the end here. That's not to say I'm not proud of what I've made, because I am. Since 2018 I have been doing this and It blows me away every time when I look back to see how far I've come since then. I didn't ever want to have to say this here, because I never wanted to quit doing this. This is something I have worked so hard on for so many months. And I'm just now deciding that maybe I was a bit too ambitious with my visions for all of this. But I don't want to throw away what I've been working on. Anyone who wants any of the 4 cars I've been working on can have them, just PM me. I don't really care what you do with them, port them back into automation and mess about with them as you please, or enjoy them as they are. While I'd like to see someone carry on with one of my projects, I feel that it is a bit too much to ask. For those whose hopes and expectations have been risen, I am very sorry. I really wanted to come through with this, but I don't think I can anymore. This being said, I will hopefully continue to make mods. I want to just do some small things to start off with. Something like a chair and table. Eventually I want to move on to being good enough at this to the point where I can make high quality car mods. I hope to make everything free, however if paid mods do get official support by the time I am able to make vehicles, I will probably test the waters a bit. I am very sad to be making this, but I do feel that this is the right direction I should go in. This is all I have to say for now.
With big projects such as this, it's to be expected. Life is more important than automation car packs. I'd love to see you work on it again one day, but if not, it's been fun seeing the progress.
Sad to see this end. Never really followed this thread along but the cars are nice. And since 2018! That's a long time. I mean half a decade (probs less or more) type of long time, Aside from that. Great work
I've never revived a dead thread but reading through all of the posts inspired me, i would really like to take over and continue on with this project if you'd allow me.
It's been awhile. I initially stopped working on this because I was worried about how I was going to balance this, my other hobbies, and real life in the future. I will also admit that I was not in the best place mentally. I've contemplated about continuing this for the last few months, which is why I haven't responded to a few PM's I've gotten recently. Since I've been wanting to continue working on this and I know that those who have been following this project would like to see it finally realized, I will be continuing this project. I will be completing the Tempesta first as its currently the highest quality and most complete of all my projects. Everything I've said regarding different trim levels, facelifts, and custom/race variants are still planned. If anyone wants to help with this, they are welcome to. PM me if you are interested. Thank you for reading this and I hope to be back here soon with some more progress.
The Tempesta is going under the knife to receive some updates to its interior and improve on an already great build. look forward to the updates shortly.
