First off - I'm a total noob at this. I've made some skins before but they're quite low quality and I really want to make something nice this time. I'm making a skin pack for all of the vanilla cars, making them dirty. I want to have dirty windows, worn interiors and foggy gauges. I have made the textures and managed to apply them to the car, but here's where the problem comes in...

The textures, right now, replace the car's base textures. So, even with the skin unselected, I have dirty windows and ripped car seats. How do I make these textures part of the skin?

These textures remain with the paint design unselected. I've been asking for help left and right, but I need a proper walkthrough. So, walk me through the fix, like I'm 5. Please!!! I will credit everybody who helps me in the mod description once it's uploaded.

Also this would probably be useful. These are the .jbeam and .json files behind the mod.
