So you know how the remastered Caprice and urbanlore mod has chimes when you start the car/when a door is open? Could someone please make that into a mod or tell me if there is mod like that? I WOULD INSTANTLY DOWNLOAD IT! Thank you
I don’t think theres a mod for that. And I would try to make one but unfortunately I don’t know how to do that yet. I’ll have to look at the files, but there’s another mod that has startup chimes, the Ibishu crosssport
it doesnt, unless i havent updated from the oldest version --- Post updated --- yes its the first publicly made version
Why would you need it for all vanilla cars? Some modern cars in BeamNG don't have chimes in their real life model. Also did you ever heard a chime in a car released before 21th century? Personally I did not, so only the Scintilla, Bastion, Sunburst, SBR, ETKs, SPs and Aurata could have a one ; so 9 vehicles vs ~20.
So I was not expecting to start beef over car chimes but they do have a point im not saying like the burnside should have a buzzer because thats too old, but I think at least the bluebuck could possibly have a buzzer and the moonhawk --- Post updated --- Well there have been chimes for a LONG time like GM first used there buzzers in 1969 and the 90s Gavrils could have like 90s Ford style chimes
I've actually been working on a mod just for this since 2024 (december), currently not all vanilla cars are supported but this should work for common cars..
Haha The current Korean cars have a start-up chime, but no door-opening chime. I know only Hyundai Tucson JM has one after 06 years,
You are absolutely 100% wrong. Most pre-21st century non american cars did not have buzzers or chimes. For example, MK1/2 Mx5's, Classic Minis, All pre 90s BL cars, pre 80s Jap stuff, almost all pre 80s italian stuff. Examples in beam would be Nine, Miramar, Pigeon, Wigeon, Picco, Stambecco, Burnside all would almost cetainly not have had door chimes. And As far as im aware its only a legal requirement in the US, at least pre 00s.
What cars does it work on? --- Post updated --- I'm having trouble getting the mod to work, is there some kind of special installation process?
