I don't believe anyone here would be unless someone in this audience is an oldtimer that's passed through the demoscene at one point or another

We will have to wait and see how much "britishness" he cooks up next time.

Its close enough to understandable. like how someone could say "sayonara" and we would still understand it as "goodbye" despite them using a japanease word. (yes "sayonara" is japanease not spanish)

No, 'demoscene' is a real concept. It might be a stretch to call it a dictionary-approved word in the English language*, but it does bring up relevant results in an internet search. And I don't know if any of y'all grew up with the 2008-2013 internet, but I'm pretty sure I got war flashbacks watching a video of fr-041.

*It might also be a stretch to call it 'modern,' but it seems like the community is still cranking out a few demos even after all these years.

Demoscene is just a sub-culture, it'd be like referencing furries or murrsuiters. So, yes, he did use modern english for once, and he didn't even include a good sir. If he wrote it like he usually does he probably would've said.

"Hello, good sir. it has come to my attention thy seeks a maven specializing in the antiquated and obsolete art form originating from the bygone age of Web2.0, known as ASCII art. It is rather implausible an artist of that expertise would peruse these forums abundantly enough to view and comprehend thy calling for them. Therefore, I do not foresee the possibility of thy quest reaching denouement and thereupon being fulfilled within a reasonable amount of time, good sir." Or something to that effect.

That reminds me of that weird PS3 game where you were just watching a 3 hour long cutscene of some weird fractal in a city and you had to like spot the difference or some shit to actually progress. Weird ass game. I remember it so vividly but I cannot remember the name of it.

Edit: The game was called "Linger in the Shadows" if anyone was wonderin

I mean it basically is ancient at this point. In terms of internet years.

Yeah, the entire framework for that website hasn't been redone since 2012 (and in some parts, it's still the original stuff from 2002)

I am partial to the classics good sir, they are truly timeless.
The scene is alive and well, and its death greatly exaggerated. Several of the larger parties take place in the coming months, always releases to keep eyes out for across many platforms.
